At Lightspeed, the strength of our Lightspeeders is essential to our success. In this role, you will play a central part in fostering a culture of highly engaged Lightspeeders. As an HR Generalist, you will oversee various HR functions including employee onboarding, performance management, regulatory compliance, and benefits administration. You will act as a trusted advisor to employees and management alike, helping to resolve any HR-related issues and providing guidance on best practices. Your ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively will be essential in this role, as you will collaborate closely with various departments. What you'll do:
- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring their employee experience is seamless
- Administer employee benefits programs and provide support for employees with benefits-related inquiries
- Maintain records and user access for HR programs and platforms
- Implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and comply with employment laws
- Assist in our continuous performance process, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluations
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues and provide guidance on various HR matters
- Serve as a point of contact for office-related inquiries and issues
- Create and manage programs that promote employee connectedness and a sense of community within Lightspeed.
- Organize team building activities, social events and opportunities for employees to come together
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
What you'll have:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrates a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, maintaining a positive attitude and high levels of motivation
- Capable of quickly identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Microsoft Office Suite
- Works well in a collaborative environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to team success.
- Proven ability to foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging through implementation of various initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or Human Resources (PHR) designation, strongly preferred
- Experience with HR technology, specifically Paylocity, Greenhouse and Quantum Workplace is a plus
