SDET plays a critical role in the software development processes, ensuring we are not only releasing bug-free, innovative software, but also ensuring the product is sufficiently meeting the business needs and expectations of our clientele!  Our SDET strive to create a safe and open environment where everyone on project can express their opinions and provide actionable feedback to each of their projects. What you'll do:

  • Advocate for multiple personas and angles of quality for the business in each module including, but not limited to: Dealer Admins, Dealer Users, Dealer Consumers, Internal Supportability, Internal Implementation, and Internal Training, and Sales.
  • Design and develop automated test framework to support various testing methodologies, including Unit, UI, API, Performance and End-to-end testing.
  • Build and Optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Directly assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of robust backend API and UI automation testing infrastructure, testing processes and tools.
  • Provides input and collaborate with QA Engineers and Developers on functional and design specifications.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and write/assist in defining user story in sprint squad related to automation goals.
  • Facilitate scrum meetings and communicate changes (as needed).
  • Assist with providing training and guidance, both to QA, and other departments within the company.
  • Assist QA Engineers with liaison between QA squad team, outside contractors and internal company areas in coordinating QA responsibilities in the QA testing cycles and the product development life cycle and automation status reporting.
  • Validate problems with products reported by customers and developers.
  • Troubleshoot Error and Read Logs; Enter, review, and update software defects in our defect tracking database in relation to automation.

What you'll have:

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years related experience. 
  • Strong knowledge in API automation using API Platform tools like Postman, Robot Framework, Cypress.
  • Strong knowledge in UI and Mobile automation using tools like Robot Framework, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Protractor.
  • Knowledge in Performance tools like Jmeter.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with databases like Postgres, MySql.
  • Must have proven understanding of QA practices with regards to UI/API/Database testing.
  • Familiarity with and working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills are a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in API, UI, and Mobile testing.
  • Dealership and/or SaaS industry.
  • Previous experience managing scrum.
  • Worked in an Agile SAFe environment.
