
UX Designer

The UX Designer will play a vital role in shaping the user experience of our market leading dealer management system software for the recreational vehicle segments we serve. Collaborating with a talented Product Management team, you will lead the design process from ideation to execution. The ideal candidate will build the foundations of the UX process at Lightspeed, establishing UX standards and guidelines and integrating a UX design centered methodology into our Product Development process.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to overall strategy and decision making about product direction.
- Lead end-to-end design projects and collaborate closely with engineers, product, customers, and other key stakeholders to ensure high quality output.
- Create high-fidelity design visuals, prototypes and flows for features.
- Conduct A/B testing to explore new ideas, validate user experience designs and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Establish and adapt processes to build the foundations of design standards/guidelines for Lightspeed UX centered product design.
- Establish and grow the product and design culture within the company.
- Work with existing and prospective customers and partners to gain a deep understanding of the jobs to be done.
- Work on developing workflows and interfaces that pioneer new design paradigms inspired by artificial intelligence.
What You'll Have
Qualifications:
- Extremely high level of proficiency in design tools and methodologies, including but not limited to Figma, wireframing, workflow diagramming and prototyping.
- Passion for product, design, and figuring out best-in-class solutions to UX, UI, and interaction challenges.
- Portfolio of excellent product designs, ideally for SMB and/or less technically skilled users, delivered with a fast-paced environment
- Experience with programming and technical tools like Git, Jira, Figma, Balsamiq, and Photoshop.
- Experience in systemic thinking and complex interaction design.
- Experience in developing and maintaining UI component libraries, particularly with a focus on accessibility to larger and hybrid in-sourced/out-sourced development organizations.
- Self-motivated and demonstrated bias for action, communicating in a clear, persuasive manner to drive speed and iteration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-graduate degree, advanced training and/or certifications in relevant field of study
- Experience with mobile application design
- 3+ years’ experience working in Agile development framework
- Experience in software design for SMB, Dealers, or Retailers
