
Collections Specialist

As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintaining positive relationships with our customers. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success teams to resolve billing issues and support cash flow goals.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor the accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers on past due invoices via phone, email, and other communication channels
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities in NetSuite and Salesforce systems
- Collaborate with our Implementation and Contract Team (“ICD”) and sales representatives to escalate and resolve complex collection issues
- Recommend accounts for escalation, payment plans, or write-offs as needed
- Prepare regular reports on collection status, aging, and KPIs for management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
What you should have:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related finance or accounting role; SaaS or subscription-based business experience preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar)
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
