
Billing Specialist

As part of the Finance team, the Billing Specialist will facilitate the revenue management of the organization. This position is primarily responsible for performing all client billing transactions required including (but not exclusive to) refunds and credit memos. Overall position is critical to cash flow and management of all financial aspects of the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Review all sales orders for contractual accuracy
- Process all invoices to clients and partners based on subscription plans and usage
- Review of monthly revenues to ensure billing is accurate and complete, as well as identify any trends or issues with client activity
- Monitor and reconcile billing discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution
- Meet month-end close deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client’s billing questions and concerns promptly
- Other projects or roles not listed will be discussed verbally and will become part of your job description as approved by your supervisor
What you should have:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance or accounting role; SaaS or subscription-based business experience preferred
- Strong understanding of billing processes and financial principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and multi-task job responsibilities effectively
- Proven commitment to providing excellent customer service within all dimensions of the job duties on a consistent basis
- Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge to apply to new situations
