Senior UX Researcher - Product Insights

About the Role

A leading global technology company is seeking a Senior UX Researcher for a temporary assignment supporting product teams focused on consumer growth. This researcher will independently plan, execute, and deliver high‑impact user research that informs product strategy, experience design, and decision‑making.

This is a project‑based role requiring strong methodological expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners while maintaining professional independence.

Key Responsibilities

Research Planning & Execution

  • Lead end‑to‑end qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, surveys, diary studies, and usability testing.
  • Develop research plans, screeners, discussion guides, and study materials aligned to project goals.
  • Select appropriate methodologies based on research questions, constraints, and timelines.

Analysis & Insight Development

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, themes, and actionable insights.
  • Synthesize findings into clear, compelling narratives that influence product direction.
  • Deliver insights through reports, readouts, and concise stakeholder‑facing presentations.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and other stakeholders to ensure research is understood and applied.
  • Participate in ongoing collaboration with the broader research team and cross‑functional partners.
  • Own and drive research projects independently, managing timelines and expectations.

AI‑Enabled Research Workflows

  • Use AI‑assisted tools responsibly to support research tasks such as transcription, summarization, and thematic analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and methodological rigor when using AI tools.
  • Contribute to organizational goals around AI fluency and efficiency.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
  • Provide regular status updates and ensure timely delivery of research outputs.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, independence, and professional judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience conducting user research in industry, agency, or consulting environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute end‑to‑end research using a broad range of methods.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience translating research findings into actionable product recommendations.
  • Fluency with AI‑assisted research tools (e.g., for synthesis, summarization, or analysis).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams in fast‑paced environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting consumer‑facing digital products.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or agent‑based workflows.
  • Experience working with international or distributed teams.
  • Comfort working with growth‑focused product metrics and funnels.
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new domains and technical concepts.

Team & Work Environment

This role supports a consumer growth research team within a large product organization. The researcher will collaborate closely with other researchers and cross‑functional partners, owning their own projects and contributing to continuous research activity across the team.

Location: Remote (must be located in the United States)

Role type: Contract 8.2 Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week
