Position Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Plant Manager to lead complex manufacturing operations at our Carrollton, Texas facility. This role is ideal for a dynamic and hands-on leader with a strong engineering foundation and extensive experience in high-mix, high-tech manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, develop scalable processes, and foster a safety-first culture while positioning the site for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Lead all site operations across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics
  • Translate company strategy into executable manufacturing plans with clear KPIs
  • Manage P&L and drive continuous margin improvement and profitability

Complex Manufacturing & Engineering Expertise

  • Oversee production in a high-complexity, electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Evaluate and improve technical processes throughout the full production lifecycle
  • Champion the use of ERP and production management systems to streamline workflows

Lean Manufacturing Champion

  • Implement and sustain lean tools and methodologies (5S, Kaizen, flow systems)
  • Drive process standardization, waste elimination, and cultural adoption of lean thinking
  • Build and scale new processes in fast-paced, startup or ramp-up manufacturing settings

Financial Acumen

  • Optimize cost structures, capital planning, and resource allocation
  • Reduce waste, rework, and cost per unit while increasing throughput and capacity
  • Maintain focus on margin expansion and sustainable growth

Safety-First Leadership

  • Promote a proactive safety culture through policy, training, and visible leadership
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, industry standards, and internal protocols
  • Lead by example to integrate safety into every aspect of operations

People Leadership & Culture

  • Inspire, coach, and develop cross-functional teams; increase engagement and retention
  • Foster a high-performance culture rooted in accountability and trust
  • Partner across HR, PMO, Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive cross-functional alignment

Problem Solving & Strategic Execution

  • Leverage data to identify bottlenecks, mitigate risks, and develop solutions
  • Act as a change agent to lead transformation initiatives in complex environments
  • Balance tactical execution with long-term strategic vision

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related) required; Master’s degree in engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles
  • Proven track record in complex manufacturing environments (aerospace, defense, automotive, etc.)
  • Expertise in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo), lean manufacturing, and project management
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams through cultural and operational transformation
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred
