Job Overview
The Physician Liaison is a new position at Little Otter and is a temporary employed position with the possibility of becoming a permanent position after a 3 month contract. Our new Physician Liaison effectively plans, activates and nurtures strategic referral relationships within their designated territory to boost brand awareness and patient acquisition for Little Otter. Responsibilities include building and executing on a market strategy, relationship cultivation across a portfolio of healthcare professionals and organizations, local marketing activities, data management and event planning.
An ideal candidate has experience managing a book of business and building relationships with healthcare referral partners, through prospecting, developing, and nurturing in a full sales cycle. Ideally, they will have existing relationships in healthcare and/or behavioral healthcare fields. The candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and can influence at all levels of an organization. They are comfortable working with a remote team with high autonomy and self-motivation. The ideal person is energized by exceeding quotas and goals in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
This is a field-based position supporting the states of Pennsylvania. Territory will include, but not be limited to: Philadelphia metro area. The Physician Liaison will need to travel locally with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license 4-5 days/week. Long-distance travel is expected every-other-month.
Responsibilities
- Promotes Little Otter to referral partners through in-person meetings, video calls, regional and state professional meetings/events, or other effective methods to effectuate new referral growth.
- Serves as a liaison between referral partners and Little Otter to enhance partner satisfaction; nurtures and strengthens existing relationships through exceptional customer service, effective communication and retention activities.
- Maintains detailed and thorough CRM records of existing and potential referring partner activity to track performance, enhance communication effectiveness and support strategy development and new business opportunities.
- Delivers on outreach activity and patient referral goals established by the VP of Healthcare Sales, and documents trends, successes, and problems to drive process improvement.
- Collaborates with internal teams including marketing, clinical operations, and customer success to effectively enter new markets and increase partner satisfaction with the referral process, from initial contact to patient discharge.
- Collects and communicates market insights from referral partners to guide future marketing and product strategies

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent job experience
- 2+ years in sales or business development role in healthcare
- Strong experience with CRM/PRM tools
- Comfort with video-conferencing platforms (Zoom)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship-building expertise and professional presence
- Proven track record of goal attainment
- Preference for a remote role and drive to work independently, with high-autonomy and self-motivation
- Demonstrated time management and sharp organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong project management experience with ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, build rapport, and influence at all levels of an organization
- Service oriented team player who is ready to go the extra mile for your partners and peers. Resourceful, empathetic and proactive.
- Ability to travel to assigned accounts for in-person meetings 75% of your time
- Current Driver’s License required

- $5,833 per month on a 3 month temporary employed contract. Possibility to go to a permanent contract after 90 days.
