Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics (Customer Acquisition)

As we scale, we're looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Analytics (Customer Acquisition) to accelerate new customer growth through our digital channels. 

This isn't a role for someone who just wants to "watch" the data; you’ll be in the driver’s seat.  You’ll report to the Director, Strategic Analytics, but you’ll work cross-functionally with teams across the company to help us acquire more customers.  

You will turn complex data into insights that will help improve our conversion rate and manage marketing costs.  From identifying the highest-converting acquisition channels to optimizing every step of the purchase funnel, you'll bring the rigor and speed needed to convert new customers efficiently and profitably.  The ideal candidate uses AI as a core part of how they work and drive decisions — actively experimenting with tools to move faster, uncover deeper insights, and make better strategic decisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Strategic Partner: Act as a strong analytics partner for the Customer Acquisition group, working across Growth Marketing and Digital Product teams to frame the right questions and deliver data-driven answers that move the business forward.
  • Drive Acquisition & Growth: Apply analytical techniques to identify the highest-value acquisition channels, optimize CAC, and surface opportunities to improve conversion rates across the digital funnel.
  • Lead with AI: Use AI tools as a primary part of your analytical workflow — from synthesizing signals across channels to accelerating experimentation cycles and generating strategic recommendations.
  • Own the Data Lifecycle: Manage and update dbt models to ensure our Customer Acquisition data is clean, reliable, and ready for analysis. 
  • Build Intuitive Dashboards: Create and maintain high-impact dashboards that move beyond vanity metrics, providing teams with the data and insights they need to succeed.
  • Champion Experimentation: Lead the design, execution, measurement, and socialization of A/B and multivariate tests aimed at increasing conversion rates, improving ROAS, and optimizing the onboarding funnel.
  • Influence Strategy: Deliver clear, compelling "so what" insights to leadership, ensuring that every strategic decision is backed by rigorous data and a deep understanding of our customers.

  • Full-Stack Analytical Skills: You are comfortable moving from raw data in BigQuery, to transformed models in dbt, to insightful dashboards in Omni.
  • An AI-Native Mindset: You treat AI as a core part of your analytical toolkit. You're constantly experimenting with new tools and approaches, and you bring that momentum into every project.
  • A Bias for Action: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a pragmatic approach to analysis that balances speed with accuracy.
  • Data Storytelling: You translate complex statistical concepts into clear, actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders and executives.
  • Collaboration & Curiosity: You are a strong partner for your cross-functional teams, known for your proactive problem-solving and desire to dive deep on funnel performance, digital marketing data, and conversion patterns.

What You’ll Need:

  • Relevant Experience: 7+ years in data analytics, with a strong track record of business impact at DTC, eCommerce, or subscription-based business. Experience with growth marketing analytics and a proven track record of optimizing digital acquisition funnels, including paid media, and landing page conversion analysis.
  • AI Fluency: You are actively and deeply using AI tools in your day-to-day analytical work. You can speak concretely to how AI has changed the way you work, the speed at which you operate, and the quality of insights you deliver. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level SQL and experience managing data transformations within dbt.
  • Modern Data Stack Knowledge: Hands-on experience with BigQuery (or similar cloud data warehouses) and a passion for building scalable data models.
  • Visualization Expertise: Experience building intuitive, high-impact dashboards and explorations in Omni (or similar tools like Looker or Tableau).
  • Statistical Foundation: Strong grasp of statistical significance with extensive experience in conversion rate optimization testing. Working knowledge of regression modeling and attribution methodologies to connect marketing spend to acquisition outcomes.

How You’ll Stand Out:

  • AI as a Force Multiplier: You've gone beyond prompt engineering — you're building AI-assisted workflows, using agents and models to automate analysis, generate hypotheses, or synthesize attribution signals.
  • Paid Media & Attribution Data: Experience with marketing mix modeling (MMM), multi-touch attribution models, and paid media platforms (Meta, Google Ads, etc.) to optimize spend efficiency and acquisition ROI.
  • Python / R: Ability to use Python / R to create statistical models that synthesize patterns in our data into actionable narratives.
