VP, AI & Automation

Remote (USA)

At Livefront, we help companies design and build intelligent products and platforms that command attention and inspire joy. We’ve helped household names like CVS, Samsung, General Mills, and Optum create experiences that have reached millions of people, and startups like HomeSpotter and Credly build entirely new businesses that challenge their industries’ status quo.

We’re looking for a Vice President, AI & Automation to join our leadership team. This is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to work remotely.

Who you are

You’re a rare blend of technologist, practice builder, and go-to-market leader—someone who can see where AI is going, translate that into compelling client outcomes, and build the internal capabilities to deliver consistently at a high bar.

You have excellent technical depth across modern AI systems and a strong intuition for where the market is headed. You can engage deeply on AI architecture, data strategy, security, model/tool selection, evaluation, and operationalization while also zooming out to shape service offerings, accelerate sales motions, and grow a high-performing team.

You’re equally comfortable in a whiteboard session with senior engineers as you are in a room with client executives. You are credible, pragmatic, and persuasive. You communicate clearly, manage expectations well, and can defend technical and strategic choices with confidence.

What you will be doing

Build and lead Livefront’s AI & Automation practice

  • Own the evolution and growth of Livefront’s AI & Automation service line, including: AI Strategy & Readiness, Agentic Software Engineering, Enterprise Agents & Workflow Automation, AI Platforms & Context Services Engineering, AI Product Development, and AI Training & Enablement.

  • Own the full portfolio of AI workstreams across the company, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and execution across internal enablement, platform/IP development, client delivery, and market positioning.

  • Define what “excellent” looks like for AI delivery at Livefront: playbooks, reference architectures, evaluation approaches, governance, security posture, and operational standards.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of AI leaders and practitioners; establish career pathways and raise the technical bar across the organization.

  • Help Livefront evolve all service lines (Digital Strategy & Product, Data & Analytics, Experience Design, Software Engineering, Data & Analytics) to better leverage AI.

Drive internal AI adoption, training, and transformation

  • Own internal AI adoption across Livefront, removing barriers to usage and ensuring AI becomes a default part of how teams work.

  • Establish and scale internal training programs and certification pathways.

  • Ensure internal teams have access to best-in-class tools, documentation, reference implementations, and accelerators.

  • Help embed AI expectations into roles, performance criteria, delivery standards, and career development pathways.

Shape market-facing offerings and go-to-market motion

  • Track the market direction of AI—platforms, models, tooling, regulations, and emerging patterns—and translate that into clear, differentiated offerings clients can buy.

  • Partner with Livefront leadership to mature our go-to-market approach for AI services: positioning, packaging, sales enablement, pursuit strategy, and thought leadership.

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships across AI frontier labs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft).

  • Ensure a consistent pipeline of AI-forward case studies and proof points, working across delivery and marketing to translate client work into compelling stories that support sales and positioning.

  • Own and drive thought leadership efforts that establish Livefront as a leader.

  • Serve as a trusted executive presence in client and prospect engagements by leading discovery, shaping strategy, articulating value, and aligning stakeholders.

Build Livefront’s AI platform, IP, and accelerators

  • Own the development of Livefront’s agentic product development framework.

  • Drive the creation of reusable AI assets: agents, accelerators, frameworks, and internal tools that compound delivery efficiency and differentiation.

Lead delivery on high-impact work

  • Lead and/or sponsor key client engagements involving complex AI architectures, agentic systems, and enterprise-grade implementations.

  • Run short, focused experiments when needed to evaluate new tools and approaches, reduce risk, and accelerate delivery.

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, observable, secure, and governed.

Drive AI-led client transformation and revenue growth

  • Drive adoption of agentic engineering and AI platforms in client delivery in a repeatable, scalable way.

  • Oversee the development of custom enterprise AI agents for clients.

  • Lead and scale our client training & workshops.

Why you should apply

You want to help shape what AI consulting and product delivery looks like at a firm known for excellence, and you want to do it with people who are deeply collaborative, pragmatic, and fun to work with.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Build a growing practice with strong leadership support.
  • Influence how Livefront evolves across strategy, design, data, and engineering in an AI-native world.
  • Work with high-impact clients and products that reach millions of people.
  • Teach, mentor, and lead in a culture that values craft, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

What you bring to the table

  • Significant experience building and shipping modern software systems, with deep expertise in agentic systems, LLMs, and modern AI architectures.

  • A strong foundation in architecture and systems thinking, including APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, deployment, observability, and security.

  • Credibility across disciplines: data engineering/analytics, product strategy, and experience design as they intersect with AI product development.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale a practice (or a strong trajectory as a high-performing leader ready to grow into broader practice ownership).

  • Demonstrated ownership of both delivery and go-to-market outcomes.

  • Experience operationalizing new ways of working across an organization.

  • Strong client presence: you can lead executive conversations, build trust quickly, manage expectations, and translate complex concepts into clear business value.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and defend technical and architectural choices persuasively.

  • A keen sense for security and risk: you see around corners, anticipate failure risks, and build responsible guardrails into solutions.

  • Above-average discipline, personal organization, and the ability to create clarity amid ambiguity.

Bonus points if you....

  • Are an active thought leader (speaking, writing, teaching, open-source, community leadership, etc.).

  • Have built repeatable AI delivery accelerators (evaluation harnesses, reference architectures, governance frameworks, reusable components).

  • Have experience designing and operating AI systems in regulated environments (privacy, compliance, safety, auditability).

  • Have experience partnering with major AI/cloud platforms and shaping partnerships.

  • Have strong illustration chops for technical diagramming and storytelling.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
