Job Summary
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing and administering compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance. This role provides data-driven recommendations to support hiring, promotions, and pay decisions while partnering with HR and business leaders to align compensation strategy with organizational objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support a company-wide salary banding and job leveling initiative to align roles, career paths, and pay ranges across the organization
- Analyze and administer compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external market competitiveness
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking; develop, maintain, and adjust salary structures and pay ranges
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation decisions
- Evaluate job descriptions and assess roles to ensure accurate classification and alignment within salary bands
- Support annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive planning
- Prepare clear compensation analyses, reports, and recommendations for leadership and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations and support pay equity analysis efforts
- Maintain compensation data integrity within HRIS and related systems
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related HR function
- Experience conducting market pricing, job evaluations, and salary structure development
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading salary banding and job leveling initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present compensation data clearly
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of compensation-related regulations, including FLSA and pay equity requirements
- Ability to partner effectively with HR and business stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification
- Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive, multi-site organizations
- Experience in high-growth, acquisition-driven environments

Colorado Pay Range
$90,000 - $115,000 USD
