Salesforce Release Engineer

LTS is seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Release Engineer to support a high-impact modernization program with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this role, you will manage and optimize Salesforce release processes, ensuring smooth, secure, and reliable deployments across mission-critical healthcare and benefits systems.

You will play a key role in maintaining release integrity, automation, and compliance within a complex federal Salesforce environment, working closely with development, QA, and program stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases that support millions of Veterans nationwide. Your work will directly support secure, reliable Salesforce deployments that enable critical services for U.S. Veterans. By strengthening release discipline and automation, you’ll help ensure that modernized systems remain stable, compliant, and responsive to the needs of those who have served.

What You’ll Do:
• Oversee and maintain the integrity, quality, and consistency of Salesforce software releases
• Manage, monitor, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments using Copado and related DevOps tools
• Debug and troubleshoot release-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption
• Document, maintain, and continuously improve release management processes and procedures
• Ensure adherence to release schedules, milestones, and delivery commitments
• Identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks in coordination with technical and program leadership
• Communicate release status, risks, and updates clearly to technical teams and stakeholders
• Support Agile delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in release management, DevOps, or Salesforce deployment roles
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Experience managing releases in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce release lifecycles and DevOps best practices
• Proficiency with Copado, including Pipelines, User Stories, Back Promotions, and Compliance Hub
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Copado, Salesforce DX, Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence
• Familiarity with code quality and static analysis tools (e.g., CodeScan, PMD)
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills

Nice to Have:
• Copado Certifications (Fundamentals I/II, Developer, Administrator)
• Salesforce Certifications (Platform App Builder, Administrator, or similar)
• Experience supporting federal agencies, particularly healthcare or civilian programs
• Familiarity with Public Trust or regulated federal environments
