We are looking for a Senior Software Support Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Access Control Module (ACM) team and lead the development of secure and reliable software solutions. This role involves mentoring junior engineers, managing complex troubleshooting tasks, and ensuring the seamless integration of ACM features in vehicles. You will play a critical role in advancing access systems, keyless entry, vehicle locking mechanisms, and connectivity protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the configuration, testing, and updating of access control software in vehicles via OTA updates.
- Serve as the technical expert for identifying and resolving complex access-related issues, including keyless entry, locking systems, and connectivity challenges.
- Define and implement testing frameworks and methodologies for ACM feature validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize access control networks and communication protocols.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to their professional growth.
- Oversee and improve the maintenance of test infrastructures, including automated testing systems and overnight validations.
- Drive root cause analysis for high-priority software issues and coordinate with development teams to implement solutions.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for software quality, reliability, and security in automotive systems.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance vehicle access control and security.
Key Skills & Knowledge Areas:
- Strong understanding of keyless entry systems, security protocols, and advanced networking concepts.
- Extensive experience with CAN communication protocols, automotive embedded systems, and tools such as CANoe and Vector.
- Expertise in Linux systems, embedded software testing, and automation frameworks.
- Proven track record of developing and optimizing test scripts for access control validation.
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team collaboration abilities with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software support engineering, system testing, or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in automotive access control systems, communication protocols, and embedded software solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and driving projects to successful completion.

Base Pay Range (Annual)
$145,600 - $200,200 USD
