
Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Powertrain Battery
- Coordinate and manage daily activities including but not limited to resource loading, monitoring design and build progress, and communicating issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Lead engineering efforts for equipment designs, execution and resource planning between different Powertrain projects.
- Participate in core team meetings, generate action items and follow up with team members.
- Coordinate interdependent tasks and deliverables with other groups across the Lucid Motors company, including Engineering, Design Studio, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Process and Sustaining Engineering.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development.
- Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of Powertrain line development from conception to launch.
- Efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
- Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines.
- Use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs.

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required.

A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Powertrain Equipment/ Manufacturing/ Process Engineering.

Experience in the automotive (EV preferred) powertrain equipment design and sustaining.

Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic .

Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyor, and laser cleaning/ metrology.

Experience with Battery lines: Enclosure, Pack, and/or Module. GD&T, CMM, OMM, leak test, adhesive dispense, accelerated curing, Hipot testing, Dielectrics, Leak tests, End of line testing (HV/LV), AGVs, ASRS equipment, Vision with automated Fiducial offsets, Laser welding, Wire bonding, bar code reading, vision system inspection, potting, HV testing, box cutting automation.

Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic .

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced office and plant floor environment, meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

Critical people management skills with a high level of initiative and sound judgement.

Practical understanding of product development processes.

Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia.

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
