 We are currently looking for a talented NVH engineer. Candidates will need a broad engineering awareness, experience in vehicle noise and vibration, with a focus on developing component level and vehicle level performance, diagnosing issues and developing countermeasures.  You will need to be focused on delivering excellent performance to our customers, strong self-starters, team collaborators, excellent problem solvers, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

 The Role: 

  • Deliver the full-vehicle acoustic package for world-class NVH performance while balancing mass, packaging and cost requirements. 
  • Leading Airborne noise activities for all responsible programs: 
  • Root cause the source of airborne noise from any component or system in a vehicle. 
  • Perform, at a vehicle and component level, simulation, testing and assessments to improve airborne noise performance. 
  • Working within a skilled and versatile team, you will support NVH target setting and work to ensure attribute performance meets targets at a vehicle level. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering 
  • 4-6+ years of relevant experience  
  • Experience in acoustic package development and optimization (sound transmission loss & sound absorption coefficient)  
  • High frequency airborne noise simulation experience with VA One and/or Actran, used for solving airborne noise issues, at the vehicle level and component level, for PTNVH, road noise, wind noise, overall transparency, OSQ 
  • Strong fundamental understanding of digital signal processing, psychoacoustics, and the use of sound quality metrics to record, track and report NVH performance in an appropriate manner 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to influence design based on engineering principles 

 Advantageous: 

  • Previous experience taking a vehicle or powertrain from concept to production 
  • Experience in NVH characterization and fault detection using microphones, acoustic cameras, particle velocity probes, etc... 
  • Experience of Siemens TestLab and Artemis Suite  
  • Programming experience in MATLAB® to facilitate data processing and analysis. 
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$140,000 - $192,500 USD
