Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Quality Management System (QMS) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and leading Lucid’s enterprise-level QMS in alignment with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, internal standards, and regulatory requirements. This role drives cross-functional governance, compliance, continuous improvement, and systemic quality excellence across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Quality, and Customer Experience.

You will lead a team of QMS professionals and work closely with senior leadership to ensure Lucid’s processes are robust, scalable, auditable, and effective as we accelerate global growth.

You Will:

Quality Management System Leadership

  • Own and evolve Lucid’s end-to-end QMS strategy, policies, standards, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and applicable federal, state, and international regulations.
  • Lead QMS maturity assessments and drive systemic improvements across the enterprise.
  • Create and maintain the Quality Manual, process maps, and governance structure.

Audit & Compliance Oversight

  • Lead internal audit programs (system, process, product) and manage external certification audits.
  • Oversee QMS readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification body audits.
  • Ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and closure of non‑conformities.

Process Governance & Standardization

  • Partner with functional leaders to define, standardize, and optimize critical business processes.
  • Ensure process owners maintain compliant, controlled, current documentation.
  • Implement process KPIs and monitor QMS performance via dashboards and reporting.

Change Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive QMS digital transformation, including workflows, document control, and automation.
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving using 8D, PFMEA, risk management, and Lean methodologies.
  • Champion quality culture, structured change management, and organizational learning.

Training & Organizational Development

  • Develop and oversee QMS training strategy across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure employees understand roles, responsibilities, and requirements related to quality.
  • Support workforce competency and audit readiness.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing QMS team.
  • Develop succession planning, capability building, and career development.
  • Collaborate regularly with executive leadership on QMS health and priorities.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Regulatory Compliance within automotive, EV, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including leading teams and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience leading IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 certified QMS in a complex, multi‑site organization.
  • Deep expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive quality system requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of APQP, PFMEA/DFMEA, Control Plans, risk management, and CAPA.
  • Proven ability to lead internal and external audits, certification readiness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with QMS digital tools, document control systems, and workflow automation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and monitor process KPIs and system effectiveness.
  • Executive‑level communication skills; ability to clearly articulate risk, compliance status, and improvement plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence without authority, and operate effectively in a matrixes organization.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with experience driving systemic and sustainable improvements.
  • Ability to balance compliance rigor with operational flexibility in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
