
Maintenance Manager - Stamping
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager, Stamping. This role requires an experienced professional capable of leading a team of up to 50 employees. The successful candidate will have experience supporting new plant launches, maintaining XL tandem press lines, and working with blanking lines.
This position oversees the Maintenance department within the stamping facility and partners closely with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to implement new processes and manage change. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
You Will:
- Lead and manage the Maintenance department, including hourly employees and skilled trades
- Champion safety, quality, and productivity through standardized work and compliance with EHS requirements
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Coordinate labor, materials, and maintenance activities to support production and startup readiness
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for equipment and process issues
- Manage major and minor press and die maintenance activities, including tandem press lines
- Partner cross functionally with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to support operations and change management
- Develop team capability through training, clear communication, documentation, and adherence to SOPs
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Operations, Engineering or Business
- 8+ years of experience in any of the following areas: Stamping, Heavy Machinery, or Body In White with an emphasis on Tandem press line experience required.
- 8+ years of related automotive industry experience.
- Experience managing automation (control) engineers preferred
- 5+ years direct leadership experience
- Ability to communicate and use interpersonal skills with success in working across organizations at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time with the ability to meet project timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
