
Full Stack Engineer Intern

What you’ll do
As a Full Stack Engineer Intern, you will contribute to real product work while learning best practices from experienced engineers:
- Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and ship scalable web applications
- Work on both front-end and back-end features using React, Java, and Node.js
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and work with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance improvements
- Learn and apply modern engineering practices (Agile/Scrum, clean code, CI/CD)
- Help improve documentation and contribute to team ways of working
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a curious, motivated intern who enjoys building software and learning quickly.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor (HBO/WO) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with React and at least one backend language/framework (Java and/or Node.js)
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and APIs (REST)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset
- Clear communication skills and comfort working in a team
Must-have (Architecture & Design Fundamentals)
- Basic understanding of object-oriented design and code structure (classes, objects, interfaces; inheritance vs. composition)
- Familiar with the SOLID principles and able to apply them in practical code design
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS (or other cloud platforms)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, or containerization
- Familiarity with system design basics (layered architecture, modular design, dependency injection)
- Experience with TypeScript, state management, or backend frameworks
- Any prior internship, project, or open-source contribution
