WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Based out of our Cottage Grove MN division, the Dispatcher assists the local driving team along with onsite leadership ensuring safe and efficient deliveries. This person will be responsible for routing deliveries for our building materials and door segments. They will coordinate with brokers when necessary.  This person will ensure compliance with all DOT and company rules/regulations. They will work with our leasing and repair partners to ensure the equipment is compliant.

  • Ensuring Safety – Ensure all DOT and Company safety regulations are met.
    • This includes monitoring HOS
  • Routing – Routing for the building materials and door segments
    • Will work with both segments to make ensure safe and efficient deliveries.
    • Communicate any variances with appropriate segment
    • Coordinate with brokers as necessary
  • Samsara – Monitoring Samsara videos for safety
  • Loading Products – Loading and unloading trailers using tie down straps and operating side curtain trailers as needed.
  • Securing Orders – Properly securing all material loaded on truck.
  • Equipment – Properly maintaining Lumbermen’s CMV ensuring compliance with required mechanical maintenance per DOT regulations.
    • Work with our truck and trailer partners to ensure all equipment is compliant with all DOT regulations
  • Teamwork – Building and maintaining strong relationships on behalf of Lumbermen’s with all those they meet, including customers, suppliers, fellow employee owners and patrons on the road.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ transportation experience required
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Current CDL A preferred

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Able to drive a forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively/continuously

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

Minnesota Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 USD
