Customer Service Representative

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Located in our Cadillac office, our Customer Service Team is working in partnership with our customers and suppliers delivering superior products. This team serves as a call center for our Michigan market. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Answering incoming inquiries
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with new and existing customers
- Assisting customers in product selection through fact finding
- Generating and delivering product quotes
- Following up on quotes and product inquiries to close sales
- Providing customer/vendor support and timely problem resolution
- Working in tandem with the production team to ensure timely completion and delivery of customer orders
- Providing customers support and timely problem resolution
- Engaging with customers via outbound activity including phone calls, emails, hand-written cards and other forms of communication.
- Creating raving fans of the Lumbermen’s brand
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the office work areas and other areas as assigned by the Office Manager

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma/GED required
- 2-5 years’ experience in a professional customer service environment
- Prior experience in a building materials environment desired
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Friendly, professional demeanor
- Dependable
- Ability to work cooperatively with fellow employee owners
- Ability to effectively move between a variety of tasks
- Ability to productively manage tasks and complete work accurately in a timely manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
