About the Role

As Manager, Procurement Operations, you will help run and continuously improve the end-to-end procurement operating model — the processes, systems, policies, and reporting that allow the business to source, buy, and manage suppliers at scale. This is both a hands-on delivery role and a process-ownership role: you will support the design of how sourcing, procure-to-pay, contract management, and supplier management fit together, then do the work that makes it real.

You will work with a small team of procurement teammates and serve as the day-to-day owner of the procurement technology stack, data quality, and reporting layer that give the business visibility and control over external spend. You will work closely with Sourcing, Finance, Legal, IT, Risk, and business stakeholders to keep priorities aligned, resolve issues, and turn fragmented processes into consistent, well-documented practice.

This is a highly collaborative role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and is equally comfortable running a working session, maintaining a project plan, and rolling up their sleeves to move initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance & Operating Model

  • Maintain the procurement governance framework — policies, standards, process documentation, and controls — and keep it current as the business evolves.
  • Document and administer the procurement operating model, including consistent roles, workflows, SLAs, and alignment.
  • Maintain the procurement policy set, including sourcing thresholds, delegation of authority, contract requirements, supplier onboarding standards, and compliance controls.
  • Drive adoption of standard sourcing, supplier management, and inventory processes across business units and regions, building an AI-first operating model
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Risk, InfoSec, and Audit to ensure adherence to regulatory, contractual, and financial governance requirements.
  • Run the governance and operating rhythms: project reviews, status reporting, issue escalation, and decision tracking.
  • Prepare quarterly business review materials and publish procurement scorecards.

Transformation & Program Delivery

  • Help build and maintain the source-to-pay transformation roadmap — capturing priorities, sequencing, dependencies, and business cases aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Manage workstreams within cross-functional transformation programs spanning strategic sourcing, P2P, extended workforce, T&E, corporate card, risk, and procurement systems.
  • Partner with procurement verticals to accelerate execution — helping teams define problems, structure workstreams, and move projects from idea to implementation.
  • Support post-merger integration activities — supplier and contract rationalization, spend baselining, policy and process harmonization, and system consolidation — to capture synergies and bring acquired entities onto the standard procurement operating model.
  • Execute sourcing and contracting projects as needed — running competitive bid events, supporting negotiations, and driving contracts through review, approval, and execution to keep business priorities moving.
  • Prepare clear status updates and leadership-ready reporting that translate program detail into progress, risks, decisions needed, and outcomes.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform end-to-end process mapping, optimization, and automation across intake, requisitioning, sourcing, contracting, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, inventory, and supplier management.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve user experience, strengthen controls, and scale operations through automation, analytics, and AI.

Digital Enablement, Data & Reporting

  • Support adoption of AI-enabled procurement capabilities — intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, conversational interfaces, risk monitoring, and automated workflow optimization.
  • Help configure and scale workflow automation to streamline intake, routing, approvals, exception handling, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Deliver insights using advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive models, and BI tools.
  • Maintain the savings tracking methodology, baselines, Finance validation, and performance reporting.

Enablement & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish training curricula for the procurement organization and for business partners, driving stakeholder adoption of new processes and tools.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Based in Dallas, TX
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years in procurement operations, sourcing, supply chain, or business operations, including at least 2 years managing people or leading project teams.
  • Hands-on experience delivering procurement transformation work — system implementations, process redesign, and capability build-out — in a multi-site or multi-region environment.
  • Experience supporting the design and rollout of procurement processes, operating models, and governance frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of source-to-pay, eProcurement tools, contract management, vendor management, inventory systems, and third-party risk management.
  • Strong proficiency with analytics platforms and data visualization; working knowledge of AI and automation tools.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or coordinating a small team, with a track record of developing others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management — able to build alignment and drive adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Financial acumen, including spend and working capital analysis, and solid negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Practical problem solver who brings structure to ambiguity and works well in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP.
  • Experience working on cross-functional product teams alongside product management and delivery partners.
  • Experience supporting sourcing across multiple spend categories at a global company.
