We are seeking a Temporary Coordinator to join the Blue Sky & Product Development team for Kristin Ess Hair. This role is a maternity leave coverage for approximately 4 months and will support the development and execution of new product launches, reformulations, and ongoing innovation projects. The Temp Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Manager to manage samples, coordinate product development tasks, and assist with presentations, meetings, and market research.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about beauty to gain hands-on experience in product development within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The role is based in NYC and you will be expected in office 3 days a week, at minimum per Company policy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Senior Manager in the initiation, tracking and execution of all stages of the product development process for new product launches and reformulations.
- Maintain upkeep of product library, standards, and lab submissions, lead distribution of samples to internal and external team members.
- Coordinate samples, bulk & packaging for retailer meetings, photography, etc.
- Help with room set-up and prep for internal leadership and retailer meetings as needed.
- Manage shipments and deliveries of products or packaging samples.
- Support Senior Manager with NPD artwork reviews & tracking.
- Support Senior Manager with presentation prep (must be savvy with PowerPoint).
- Support Senior Manager in tracking industry trends to identify white space opportunities, including but not limited to conducting market research, tracking key trends and monitoring the competitive landscape.
- Purchase and evaluate competitive products.
- Willing to evaluate, assess and share feedback on lab submissions.
- Perform other assigned projects and functions as needed ad hoc.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Have a passion for beauty and a genuine LOVE for product.
- Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
- Beauty experience is a bonus.
- Great work ethic, must be organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and capable of prioritizing and juggling multiple projects at once to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy.
- Proactive approach to projects. Always thinking ahead, showing initiative and drive, problem solving and follow through.
- Impeccable communication skills both verbal and written, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and open to change.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be team player.
What We Offer
$65,000/yr - $70,000/yr. ($31.25/hr - $33.65/hr)
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
