Position Overview:
As a Quality Co-Op you will support the Quality team in ensuring that products meet established quality, regulatory, and brand standards throughout the development and production lifecycle. This role offers hands-on exposure to quality systems, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The co-op will work closely with Quality leadership, suppliers, and internal partners to help drive quality excellence from concept through commercialization.
This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in engineering preferably but not limited to chemical and mechanical engineering.
This co-op position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and will require to be onsite at our NY office a minimum of 3X a week.
Core Responsibilities:
- Review and route production against Standards with quality leader oversight
- Manage quality trackers
- Prepare monthly reports with quality director
- Work with suppliers, and cross functional team members to drive project to completion
- Participate in internal audits, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives—analyzing product performance, resolving deviations and non-conformances
- Some travel to help with inspections and rework projects
- Hybrid Office– 3 x’s in office/2 x’s work from home
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably but not limited to Packaging, Chemical and Mechanical.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Strong communication skills and attention to details.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed.
Compensation:
$20/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience
