Financial Controller

The ideal candidate will bring organization, attention to detail and enthusiasm to the growing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who wishes to grow and contribute within a high-growth SaaS organization.

What you’ll do:
- Own the monthly financial statement reporting process in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (US GAAP). Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
- Monitor and analyze business KPIs to support decision-making, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve the company's financial performance.
- Manage the company's cash position. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
- Support the FP&A team for monthly forecasting and investor reporting.
- Supervise, coach and continue to build & hire on the accounting team.
- Lead the annual income tax returns with external tax accountants.
- Lead R&D credits and grants application process by collaborating with the Engineering team and external consultants.
- Lead the year-end financial audit with external auditors.
- Assess and manage financial risks. Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including the implementation of new systems such as an ERP and sales tax solutions.
- Act as a business partner across departments by providing financial insights that drive strategic and operational decisions.
About you:
- At least 8 years in an accounting environment.
- Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
- Self-starter that is comfortable working with minimal oversight and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
- English: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
