
Senior Technical Program Manager

Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the Associate Director, Technical Program Management, we are looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and results-driven Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee work spanning both front-end website experiences and backend platforms, tools, and integrations. This role will manage website and web application feature requests, ensuring seamless functionality and an optimal user experience.

Responsibilities:
- Follow Program Management best practices, ensuring alignment with guiding principles and key success factors. Optimize best practices across program and project management disciplines, including planning, estimating, prioritizing, and road mapping of key initiatives
- Drive strategic technical programs by establishing clear objectives, measurable success criteria, and execution plans that align with business goals. Programs may include platform integrations, website updates, and complex initiatives such as an ecommerce re-platform
- Build, maintain, and execute a comprehensive program roadmap that aligns with business goals, ensuring dependencies and milestones are clearly defined and managed
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks across multiple interrelated projects to ensure strategic alignment, issue resolution, and successful execution
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and stakeholders to write user stories and product requirements that drive forward technical implementation
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships to define and implement scalable solutions for complex business needs while ensuring clear communication, alignment, and transparency. Proactively manage expectations, provide regular updates, and champion collaboration to drive successful outcomes
- Develop and implement best practices across program and project management disciplines, including planning, estimating, prioritizing, and scheduling key initiatives
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying process efficiencies and implementing enhancements to team workflows. Identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and support the adoption of streamlined project management methodologies
- Establish and track program KPIs, reporting progress to senior leadership and stakeholders while identifying risks and mitigation strategies
- Drive technical discussions, facilitate trade-off decisions, and align teams on priorities to ensure successful execution of technical programs
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure changes are implemented smoothly, minimizing disruptions and risks, and establish alignment across technical and business teams
- Own and optimize development team sprint velocity and capacity planning, creating and managing sprint reports and burndown charts
- Run Agile ceremonies, including but not limited to daily stand-ups, backlog grooming (with product manager), sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
- Manage end-to-end project timelines from initiation through implementation, QA, and launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope
- Oversee the execution of work by external vendors, for both project-based work and staff augmentation, ensuring alignment with internal tech teams
- Maintain and oversee program documentation, ensuring clear and up-to-date records in collaboration with the team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying process efficiencies and implementing enhancements to team workflows
- Carry out any other appropriate duties as required to support the executive members

Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Project Management, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience managing complex technical programs or projects within an Agile framework, preferably in an Ecommerce or SaaS environment
- Proven track record of leading large-scale technical programs with multiple workstreams and dependencies
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and experience leading Agile ceremonies
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (Squads/Pods) and driving collaboration across business and technical teams
- Strong proficiency in project management and documentation tools (Jira, Asana, Confluence, SharePoint)
- Demonstrated ability to understand multiple functional areas of business including technology, e-commerce, design, finance, creative, and marketing
- Outstanding communicator with strong thought leadership and EQ. Skilled in building rapport with individuals at all levels of an organization and quickly establishing effective, collaborative working relationships
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage developers, designers, QA, and senior leadership in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Highly resilient and stress resistant, with a strong ability to prioritize work effectively. Capable of managing and leading change effectively in complex situations and under pressure
- Self-starter with high initiative and a positive "can-do" attitude
- Comfortable managing a high-volume workload with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- Ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems, assess risks, and provide structured, data-driven recommendations

Compensation Range
$130,000 - $135,000 USD
