Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction / Semiconductor Project Engineer to support field coordination, construction execution, schedule tracking, and project documentation for an active semiconductor construction project in Idaho.

This role works closely with the Superintendent to coordinate daily and weekly construction activities, subcontractor crews, vendors, trades, tool-install teams, and project stakeholders. The Construction / Semiconductor Project Engineer will help monitor field progress, identify risks, track action items, support construction sequencing, and ensure project work remains aligned with safety, quality, schedule, cleanroom, and client requirements.

This is not a general administrative role. The ideal candidate has hands-on onsite construction coordination experience in semiconductor fabrication, cleanroom construction, MEP systems, tool installation, wet mechanical systems, process utilities, or other high-tech construction environments. The position requires strong field awareness, organization, communication, follow-through, and the ability to respond effectively to changing site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Field Coordination & Construction Execution

  • Support the Superintendent with day-to-day coordination of subcontractor crews, vendors, trades, tool-install teams, and internal project personnel.
  • Perform routine site walks to monitor field progress, verify work activity, identify constraints, collect photos, and document project updates.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities across active work areas to support safe, efficient, and properly sequenced execution.
  • Assist with coordination between construction teams, engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors, material-planning teams, and client representatives.
  • Monitor work areas for field conflicts, access issues, installation constraints, material-readiness concerns, and potential impacts to project milestones.
  • Support construction sequencing, trade coordination, work-area turnover, and readiness planning for upcoming activities.
  • Help coordinate tool move-in and move-out activities, utility tie-in readiness, laydown areas, dock usage, material movement, and equipment-access requirements.
  • Identify and escalate delays, conflicts, material shortages, safety risks, quality concerns, and subcontractor-performance issues to the Superintendent.

Schedule Tracking & Look-Ahead Planning

  • Assist with daily, weekly, and short-term look-ahead planning to support construction milestones and field execution.
  • Track field progress against project schedules, work plans, contractor commitments, and assigned action items.
  • Coordinate with project teams to validate work sequencing, access requirements, material availability, and manpower readiness.
  • Support schedule updates by collecting subcontractor progress information, field observations, photos, and completion-status updates.
  • Identify schedule risks, delayed activities, incomplete work, and potential constraints that may impact critical milestones.
  • Assist with recovery planning, resequencing discussions, and coordination efforts when field conditions affect the project schedule.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings, schedule-review meetings, contractor meetings, and progress-update discussions.

EHS, QA/QC & Cleanroom Compliance

  • Coordinate with EHS and QA/QC teams regarding field observations, safety issues, quality concerns, corrective actions, and project-compliance requirements.
  • Support compliance with site safety rules, PPE requirements, environmental expectations, cleanroom protocols, contamination-control procedures, and client standards.
  • Assist with tracking safety observations, quality findings, punch items, deficiencies, and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Help ensure subcontractors understand applicable work-area requirements, access restrictions, cleanliness expectations, and project-specific procedures.
  • Support field verification of completed work, installation quality, work-area readiness, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Escalate unsafe conditions, quality concerns, contamination-control issues, or noncompliance concerns promptly to the Superintendent and appropriate project stakeholders.

Documentation, Reporting & Project Support

  • Track RFIs, field issues, change impacts, permits, punch-list items, daily reports, inspection items, and other site documentation as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate project records, field logs, progress photos, meeting notes, action-item lists, and coordination documentation.
  • Support the preparation and review of daily reports, weekly updates, construction-progress summaries, and field-status reports.
  • Assist with reviewing construction drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, as-builts, RFIs, and other project documents to support field coordination.
  • Document unresolved field conditions, coordination needs, project changes, and required follow-up actions.
  • Support document-control processes to ensure current drawings, revisions, permits, field instructions, and project records are available to relevant teams.
  • Assist with project closeout, punch-list tracking, as-built documentation, turnover activities, and final field-record organization as needed.

Stakeholder Communication & Continuous Improvement

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, EHS personnel, QA/QC teams, material planners, project managers, and project leadership.
  • Provide timely updates to the Superintendent regarding site progress, risks, open issues, and required decisions.
  • Build productive working relationships across multiple trades, disciplines, and project stakeholders.
  • Support continuous-improvement efforts related to field coordination, documentation accuracy, construction sequencing, safety, quality, and project execution.
  • Maintain a proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented approach in a fast-paced semiconductor construction environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Two to five or more years of construction coordination, field coordination, project engineering, superintendent support, or related onsite construction experience.
  • Direct experience supporting semiconductor fabrication, cleanroom construction, tool installation, MEP systems, wet mechanical systems, process utilities, or other high-tech construction environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, project schedules, RFIs, submittals, as-builts, permits, and field documentation.
  • Strong organization, field coordination, communication, and follow-up discipline.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, QA/QC teams, EHS personnel, material-planning teams, and project leadership.
  • Working knowledge of cleanroom protocols, tool-install phases, MEP coordination, semiconductor site requirements, and active-construction practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • OSHA 30 certification required, or the ability to obtain OSHA 30 before site start if not currently active.
  • Valid driver’s license, successful background check, and drug screen, where applicable.
  • Ability to work onsite in Idaho and walk active construction areas while wearing required PPE.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts when project conditions require.
