Job Overview
Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and safety-focused Maintenance Lead Technician to support and coordinate maintenance, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational-support activities within semiconductor and chemical-system environments.
This is a working-lead position responsible for performing technical maintenance activities while providing daily direction and field support to maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Lead Technician will help assign work, coordinate task priorities, verify compliance with safety and maintenance procedures, assist with complex troubleshooting, and ensure assigned work is completed accurately and on schedule.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, previous experience leading technicians or field crews, and the ability to work effectively in semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, industrial facilities, construction environments, or high-tech manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Daily Coordination
- Provide daily technical direction and field support to maintenance technicians and assigned project personnel.
- Help coordinate work assignments, preventive-maintenance tasks, corrective-maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, installations, and commissioning work.
- Conduct or support shift-start meetings, toolbox talks, pre-task planning, work-area reviews, and safety discussions.
- Verify that technicians understand applicable work instructions, procedures, drawings, safety requirements, and task expectations.
- Monitor work progress and help ensure assigned activities are completed safely, accurately, and according to schedule.
- Serve as the first point of contact for routine field questions, maintenance concerns, and technical issues.
- Train and mentor technicians on maintenance procedures, equipment operation, troubleshooting methods, documentation, and safe work practices.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, communication, professionalism, and consistent compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Provide status updates to supervisors, engineers, project managers, and customer representatives regarding completed work, open issues, equipment concerns, and resource needs.
Maintenance, Inspection & Equipment Support
- Lead and perform routine maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities for semiconductor equipment, chemical systems, process-support systems, tools, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment checks, system walkdowns, and condition assessments.
- Support pumps, valves, piping, sensors, instrumentation, controls, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and chemical-delivery-related systems.
- Identify equipment abnormalities, damaged components, leaks, alarms, unusual operating conditions, and potential safety or reliability concerns.
- Perform minor repairs, component replacement, equipment adjustments, parts installation, and operational-verification activities.
- Verify that tools, materials, parts, PPE, permits, and supporting documentation are available before work begins.
- Help prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, equipment criticality, operational needs, and project schedules.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in accordance with cleanroom, 5S, and project requirements.
- Support equipment reliability and uptime by ensuring assigned maintenance activities are completed accurately and on time.
Installation, Startup & Commissioning
- Lead and support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, testing, operational verification, and turnover activities.
- Coordinate field verification of equipment, piping, pumps, valves, sensors, electrical components, mechanical systems, and related facility infrastructure.
- Support functional testing, leak testing, equipment checks, alarm verification, system readiness reviews, and startup activities.
- Review work instructions, equipment documentation, maintenance procedures, technical drawings, P&IDs, checklists, and project requirements.
- Identify incomplete installations, damaged materials, incorrect components, unsafe conditions, and deviations from approved documentation.
- Coordinate field troubleshooting and corrective actions with technicians, engineers, contractors, vendors, and customer representatives.
- Support construction, tool-install, facility expansion, maintenance shutdown, and system-modification activities.
- Help track open technical issues, punch-list items, incomplete work, and required corrective actions.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Lead troubleshooting activities involving mechanical, electrical, chemical-delivery, facility, and process-support systems.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic instruments, testing equipment, and approved maintenance tools.
- Guide technicians through inspection, testing, component replacement, adjustment, and operational-verification activities.
- Assist with root-cause analysis by collecting equipment history, operating data, alarm information, technician observations, and maintenance records.
- Escalate major equipment failures, safety concerns, recurring problems, process abnormalities, and urgent maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with supervisors and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and verify that equipment is safe to return to service.
- Document troubleshooting findings, repairs, replacement parts, testing results, and recommended follow-up actions.
- Assist with resolving field issues in a timely, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
Safety, Documentation & Compliance
- Follow and reinforce all standard operating procedures, work instructions, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE requirements, cleanroom protocols, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Stop or escalate work when unsafe conditions, unclear instructions, uncontrolled hazards, or procedural deviations are identified.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, inspections, incident reviews, and corrective-action activities.
- Review maintenance records, work orders, inspection forms, testing reports, checklists, and shift documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized maintenance records, equipment-status updates, work logs, and technical documentation.
- Support audits, inspections, customer reviews, and documentation requests as assigned.
- Participate in continuous-improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, safety, technician productivity, maintenance processes, and documentation accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five or more years of experience in equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, semiconductor operations, manufacturing, industrial construction, chemical systems, or a related technical environment.
- Previous experience leading technicians, coordinating field crews, training employees, or serving as a senior technician or working lead.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and facility-support systems.
- Experience working with pumps, valves, piping, sensors, controls, electrical components, mechanical equipment, or chemical-delivery systems.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, maintenance procedures, technical drawings, equipment documentation, checklists, and basic P&IDs.
- Ability to follow and reinforce structured safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE requirements, and cleanroom protocols.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and adjust priorities based on operational needs.
- Ability to work independently while providing effective guidance and support to other technicians.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, use tools, and lift materials in an active industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, trade-school education, technical certification, or related technical training.
- Experience working in a semiconductor fab, cleanroom, industrial facility, chemical plant, data center, or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting chemical systems, process-support systems, MEP systems, facility utilities, or semiconductor equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, or operational verification.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, instrumentation, alarms, sensors, controls, or automated process systems.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems or electronic work-order platforms.
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, lockout/tagout, or other relevant safety certification.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus, but not required.

Work Environment
This is a full-time onsite role supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, construction, chemical-system, and facility-maintenance environments. Work may occur in equipment rooms, process-support areas, cleanrooms, construction zones, utility spaces, chemical areas, and other active project locations.
The Maintenance Lead Technician must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment, following cleanroom and site-specific procedures, using approved tools and equipment, and performing physically active work.
The position may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, responding to equipment issues, and adjusting priorities based on maintenance and project needs. Shift, weekend, overtime, shutdown, or emergency support may be required based on operational requirements.
