Location: Phoenix, AZ | Onsite
Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Non-exempt

About MICU

Marketech International Corporation USA supports semiconductor and high-tech facility projects through engineering, construction, cleanroom integration, tool installation, and facility services.

Position Overview

MICU is seeking a Project Engineer to support structural construction and overhead crane installation activities within semiconductor cleanroom environments.

You will coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, crane vendors, and field personnel to ensure crane rails, runway beams, supports, foundations, and related systems are installed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify conflicts and installation risks.

  • Coordinate structural steel and crane installation activities with vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.

  • Verify field layout, rail alignment, elevations, clearances, and installation tolerances.

  • Coordinate welding quality requirements, welder qualifications, non-destructive testing, and third-party inspections.

  • Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, daily reports, and as-built records.

  • Support project scheduling, procurement, long-lead material tracking, and equipment delivery logistics.

  • Resolve installation issues involving structural supports, crane rails, power feeds, cable management, and system interfaces.

  • Support commissioning, load testing, site acceptance testing, and project turnover.

  • Follow construction safety requirements and cleanroom gowning and contamination-control procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related technical or construction field; a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant education and experience will be considered.

  • At least three years of progressive experience in commercial or heavy industrial construction.

  • Strong understanding of structural steel installation, supports, welding quality, and alignment requirements.

  • Ability to interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and construction document control.

  • Working knowledge of applicable construction codes and standards, including AISC, AWS, IBC, and OSHA requirements.

  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple project stakeholders.

  • Ability to work onsite in active construction and cleanroom environments.

Relevant commercial or heavy industrial experience is required; residential-only construction experience does not meet this role’s requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with overhead cranes, crane runway systems, or precision rail alignment.

  • Semiconductor, cleanroom, or other high-tech facility construction experience.

  • Familiarity with welding procedures, structural inspections, and non-destructive testing.

  • Experience coordinating equipment vendors and installation teams.

  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera, or Microsoft Project.
