Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for both shaping the data pipelines that feed our analytics and delivering the dashboards and reports that bring insights to life. You’ll work primarily with dbt and SQL to transform raw data into reliable, well-structured datasets, and then build visualizations in Metabase to make those datasets accessible to business stakeholders.
This dual focus makes the role central to how we deliver value with data: ensuring our foundations are strong and that insights are clearly communicated. You’ll collaborate closely with analysts, engineers, and business teams, directly impacting sales, product development, operations, and financial planning.
What will you own:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based data models and transformations in dbt
- Building and maintaining dashboards and reports in Metabase to support decision-making
- Partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into both data models and visualizations
- Proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data pipelines and reports
- Documenting datasets, metrics, and dashboards to enable self-service analytics
- Contributing to best practices for data quality, governance, and visualization standards
What you have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Developer, or Data Engineer with strong SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with dbt (or similar transformation frameworks)
- Strong experience designing and building dashboards in a BI tool (Metabase or equivalent)
- Ability to model data for clarity, scalability, and usability
- Fluent English
- Hybrid working with 3 days from our office in Krakow
Bonus points for experience with:
- Python or other scripting language
- Data warehouses and OLAP systems (e.g. ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
