Senior AV Engineer
As Marqeta’s Senior AV Engineer, you will be joining our Technology Operations team and will be responsible for managing our AV equipment lifecycle, from procurement to retirement. As a key player in our team, you'll be the one ensuring our meetings and events always hit the high notes with top-notch audio and visual quality across multiple locations.
You'll be our go-to person for any AV issues, swiftly providing solutions and making sure our equipment is always performing at its best. We'll count on you to be there for ad-hoc support and troubleshooting, and your knack for collaborating with business partners and event organizers will really shine. Plus, your proactive approach will help keep our AV equipment in tip-top shape for the long haul. Come join us and play a crucial role in our audiovisual operations.

The Impact You'll Have
- Manage and maintain all AV equipment, including audio equipment, microphones, speaker systems, video switchboards, all-in-one monitors, and conferencing software.
- Oversee a roadmap of events and AV requirements from headquarters to regional offices.
- Evaluate both onsite and remote meetings to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Build a backlog of improvements, prioritizing them based on their impact
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high standard of audio and visual quality in all meetings and events.
- Plan and execute high-quality production for critical meetings with the Board, Executives, Company All Hands, Customers and Vendors
- Coordinate with IT and other teams for AV needs.
- Train staff on the use of AV equipment and software.
- Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and make recommendations for upgrades.
- Ensure the security and privacy of all AV communications.
- Maintain current documentation and inventory of AV equipment including Warranty, End of Life, Firmware, Patch management, etc.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of proven experience as an AV engineer or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of AV systems and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and training skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy best practices in relation to AV systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest AV technologies.
- Able to travel to regional offices to improve AV equipment and experience.

Compensation and Benefits
Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:
- Premium Plus: $99,400 - $124,300
