About this role: 

Group Client Directors play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the success of our clients' projects. This senior leadership position combines strategic thinking, exceptional client relationship management, and a deep understanding of the creative, production, and financial process. As a Group Client Director, you will lead a team and oversee the management of client accounts for a business vertical to ensure their objectives are met, while also contributing to the organic growth and success of our agency within that business lane, and assisting the new business team in their pitch process. This role reports directly to the Chief Client Officer and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Role + Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain valued, long-lasting partnerships with clients within the designated industry vertical.
    • Ensure successful delivery of projects by meeting and exceeding client KPIs and expectations.
    • Own scopes, staff plans, and burn management for each account, ensuring efficient resource utilization and project profitability.
    • Effectively communicate client expectations to internal teams to ensure client feedback and satisfaction. 
  • Strategic & Core Projects:
    • Lead strategic initiatives and larger tentpole projects within the vertical, aligning agency services with client objectives.
    • Provide thought leadership and innovative ideas to drive business growth for clients.
  • Cross-functional Thought Leadership:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide thought leadership, integrating expertise from different disciplines to drive client success.
    • Drive cross-sell and organic growth opportunities across various project types (experiential, campaign,  digital, etc.).
  • New Business Partnership:
    • Act as a partner to the new business team, leveraging expertise to identify and capitalize on new opportunities within the vertical.
    • Champion agency initiatives and present contextually relevant sell-in opportunities to clients.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage and coach your client team to maximize performance and ensure project quality.
    • Keep all stakeholders apprised on any key changes in production or post that will affect final delivery.
    • Direct and motivate teams to help them use their talents effectively.
    • Maintain clarity of information and good channels of communication with other teams at the organization to ensure that projects are moving forward effectively and efficiently.
  • Financial Management:
    • Ownership and management of account budgets and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Monitor and report on the financial performance of client accounts. Provide regular reports and analysis to clients on the performance of their campaigns. 
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure the highest quality of work is delivered to clients by maintaining rigorous quality control and performance standards.
    • Oversee operations and process alignment across business vertical

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Previous leadership roles as Director, VP level or above within the aforementioned industries
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in agencies, brands, and sales teams in the industry
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and client facing roles 
  • Demonstrated experience understanding and delivering on client needs and developing relationships within particular industries
  • Passion for culture and fostering community
  • Excellent presentation and client negotiation skills 
  • Deep understanding of current brand and marketing trends
  • Proven results-driven track record with leading a sales/operations team
  • Established and extensive network of industry contacts at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, judgment and awareness 

 

Compensation: $170,000-$190,000/Year based on experience, plus incentive program eligibility
