Role Overview:
The Creative Resourcing Manager at MATTE Projects will oversee the resourcing of creative talent across all projects, ensuring optimal utilization of our creative team and freelance network. This role bridges project needs with talent capabilities, supporting operational efficiency, creative excellence, and timely delivery. The position also includes responsibility for building a robust talent bench, cultivating intern talent, and strengthening our creative pipeline for future needs. Reporting to the Director of Agency Operations, this individual will collaborate closely with the Creative and Strategy teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Resourcing & Scheduling
- Manage the allocation of creative team members (designers, strategists, writers, art directors, etc.) to projects, ensuring efficient use of internal and freelance resources.
- Maintain an up-to-date and transparent resourcing calendar to track capacity and project demands.
- Partner with project leads to assess scope, timelines, and creative bandwidth for each initiative.
Freelance Talent Management
- Build and maintain a roster of freelance creative talent, focusing on diverse and innovative skill sets aligned with MATTE’s projects.
- Handle the sourcing, onboarding, and management of freelance talent for short-term and project-based needs.
- Negotiate freelance rates and manage budgets in collaboration with the Finance and Operations teams.
Talent Bench Building
- Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with up-and-coming creative talent to build a robust talent bench for future project needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with schools, industry groups, and creative networks to source emerging talent.
- Partner with HR to develop strategies for pipeline-building and succession planning.
Internship Program Coordination
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of creative interns as part of MATTE’s internship program.
- Ensure interns are integrated into the creative process and receive meaningful learning opportunities.
- Track intern performance and identify high-potential candidates for freelance or full-time roles.
Team Collaboration
- Act as the liaison between Creative, Production, and Client Services teams to align talent with project requirements and deadlines.
- Proactively address potential resourcing conflicts and provide solutions that balance creative needs and project goals.
- Facilitate team meetings to communicate resourcing updates and priorities.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and refine tools, processes, and systems for creative resourcing to improve efficiency and communication.
- Track and report on resource utilization, talent performance, and project outcomes to inform future planning.
- Leverage Airtable (or similar tools) to manage resourcing workflows, freelance rosters, and project tracking.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in creative resourcing, talent management, or operations within a creative agency or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of creative disciplines and workflows, particularly in experiential, branding, campaigns, and content creation.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing a talent bench and intern programs.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external talent.
- Proficiency in resourcing or project management tools; experience with Airtable is preferred.
- A proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering exceptional creative work.

Compensation: $60,000-75,000/year
