About the Role

Maven is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our growing IT Team. This position will monitor, maintain, and support Maven’s computer systems, applications, and network. This role focuses on designing and integrating systems across our tech stack. In addition to IT projects and initiatives, you will also assist with the day-to-day support and operations of the Maven user base. This role is based in NYC and will be required to be in office three days a week.

As a Senior IT Engineer at Maven, you will:

  • Connect and integrate Maven’s IT systems and SaaS platforms using pre-built tools and customizations
  • Analyze and design strategies to integrate disparate systems, with deep understanding of business needs and technical requirements
  • Utilize Okta to improve management, provisioning, and communications between applications
  • Maintain our Atlassian product suite that includes Jira and Opsgenie
  • Administer other products such as Google Workspaces, Jamf, Slack, BetterCloud, and our managed fleet of macOS devices
  • Improve internal ITSM product that supports users - features, workflows, integrations, analytics
  • Provide second-level technical support to our internal users

We’re looking for you to bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support/engineering role
  • Extensive experience integrating third-party SaaS products into an Okta environment, using both existing and customized tooling
  • Experience with integrations between Okta and HRIS systems, including data validation, transformation, mapping, and automations
  • Extensive knowledge of using SaaS APIs to build automations, integrations, or data transfers between SaaS products
  • Working knowledge with enterprise systems such as Salesforce and Zendesk  
  • Experience with administration and configuration of ITSM products like Freshservice and Jira Service Management
  • Solid project management experience leading various initiatives to successfully meet milestones and deliverables
  • Experience with Google Workspaces products (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc) and administration
  • MacOS support experience
  • Extensive help desk support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred experiences and backgrounds:

  • Technical education/degree, or equivalent working experience a plus
  • Experience with SaaS tooling and integrations
  • Some lightweight development knowledge a plus
  • Experience with MDM products
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Knowledge of security products and concepts (EDR)

For candidates in NYC the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000 per year. You may also be entitled to receive a bonus, stock options, and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our Engineering & Product teams primarily operate from Seattle, WA, San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, and the New York Metropolitan area, NY.  For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week  (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.
