Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for retail management?  Are you highly motivated, dedicated and a result driven person who is passionate about leading and building a team?  Look no further - McClure Oil is seeking a talented Retail District Manager for our Peru, Indiana area.  As a District Manager you will be entrusted to guide a team of Store Managers in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience, operational excellence, and a working environment that promotes engagement and living the Company values, making McClure Oil the clear choice for our guests every day needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a group of eight to thirteen company operated stores
  • Responsible for driving sales and profitability - provide leadership to a team of managers to attain company targets for sales, expenses, employee retention and overall performance of each store.
  • Monitor all aspects of store operations, providing advice, coaching and assistant our store management.
  • Ensure key processes are in place through store visits, store and staff evaluations.
  • Responsible for the development of our management team and oversee staffing levels.
  • Analysis of P&L financial reports, monitoring labor costs, inventory control and current sales.

Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in multi-unit fast-paced retail, food service, or convenient store.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and manage several processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft word and Microsoft excel
  • Valid drivers license

Travel:  95 % Traveling from location to location with Peru, Indiana area.  Stores are located within Logansport, Peru and South Bend.  McClure Oil will provide a company vehicle so candidate must have a clean driving record.

Hours & Conditions:  Typically Monday thru Friday for a 48-50 hour work week (depending on the needs of the company), occasional Evening, Holiday and weekend work may be required depending on the business needs.

Physical Requirements:   Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip.
