Sydney

Good people. Good work. Great opportunities.

McCullough Robertson is a commercially focused firm, working with high-calibre national and international clients. We work on big matters in small teams, approaching each day with dedication and professionalism.

We provide exceptional opportunities for our employees to perform, grow and succeed, through extensive training and career development. Our teams work together and support one another to achieve individual, team and firm-wide goals.

Backed by a national team of over 400 staff located in Brisbane, Sydney, and Canberra, McCullough Robertson is a big firm, without the attitude.

Due to a period of exceptional growth, we have three new Legal Assistant opportunities available across some of our most dynamic practice groups in Sydney.

The Teams

Insolvency

The restructuring and insolvency group at McCullough Robertson provides practical, expert legal advice across a broad range of sectors, particularly mining, property infrastructure and retail. We act for an array of stakeholders in distressed scenarios, including corporates, insolvency practitioners, creditors, government entities, shareholders and directors. We are renowned for developing tailored strategies designed to mitigate risk, enhance value, and align solutions with our client’s commercial objectives.

Digital and IP

Our Digital and IP team is a recognised leader in Australia and on the global stage. With deep industry expertise across tech, start-ups, life sciences, telecommunications, and media, we support a diverse mix of private and government clients. From cutting-edge technology and IP matters to data protection, cybersecurity, competition, and complex commercial deals, we deliver smart, strategic solutions that drive innovation and protect what matters.

Construction and Infrastructure (Back-end)

McCullough Robertson’s Construction and Infrastructure team is known for guiding clients through all stages of major projects across Australia. We advise top and mid-tier contractors on high-value disputes, regulatory investigations, arbitrations, and Security of Payment matters. With a strong presence in major New South Wales infrastructure projects, we also support key government bodies. Renowned for our practical, commercially driven advice, we regularly compete with top-tier firms on complex disputes and project advisory work.
