The Role
A newly created role and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Coordinator to join McCullough Robertson’s national team. Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources in Brisbane, you will play a pivotal role in supporting key HR functions across the firm, including operational support, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and firm-wide events.

Key duties will include
- Collaborating closely with the Chief People Officer to drive the Diversity and Inclusion strategy, coordinating committee activities, communications, reporting, and engagement with external networks and community organisations;
- Acting as a point of contact for Diversity and Inclusion enquiries, providing information and induction support to staff, including new starters;
- Managing all administrative aspects of firm committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, tracking action items, and maintaining accurate records;
- Leading end-to-end planning and delivery of key internal events such as the EOFY Party, Christmas Party, Law Dinner, and monthly staff drinks, managing budgets, venues, invitations, and logistics;
- Supporting the coordination of monthly staff awards and the firm’s milestone and recognition programs, including anniversary communications;
- Managing the firm’s graduate admission and practising certificate renewal processes for Queensland;
- Provide support to the L&D Executive with the coordination of learning sessions, including room bookings, calendar appointments, catering requests and comms preparation;
- Assisting senior HR leaders with various projects, including engagement survey initiatives, HR policy reviews, performance improvement plans, and HRIS analytics and reporting; and
- Undertaking any additional duties necessary to ensure the effective delivery of HR services across the firm.
Experience
As the successful candidate, you will bring two years of human resources experience and a genuine desire to build your career in this space.
You will be a strong team player and have highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels and manage relevant stakeholders. You will have the ability to organise and prioritise workflows with high attention to detail, as well as the ability to self manage, take ownership of tasks and drive timeframes for all activities and projects while keeping relevant stakeholders updated.
Additionally, you will actively contribute to building the capability and development of colleagues by sharing knowledge and training, as well as provide guidance and support to junior team members to foster their growth and ensure consistency in HR practices across the firm.
Furthermore, you will have strong administration skills, including highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Furthermore, you will have an enthusiastic and proactive approach, with a keen desire to support the HR team and contribute constructively to the team’s activities and projects.
