The Technical Solutions Architect supports successful sales engagements by providing advanced technical expertise across MCG’s products and platform. Serving as a liaison between customer technical stakeholders and MCG’s Product, Engineering, Security, and Implementation teams, the role focuses on integration and deployment topics such as interoperability, AI models, security protocols, and deployment models, building customer confidence and supporting long-term adoption throughout the sales cycle.

You Will:

  • Partner with Sales Executives and clinician-led Sales Solution Architects to support pre-sales engagements across payer and provider markets, ensuring technical alignment with customer needs and MCG solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer and prospective IT, security, architecture, and digital health stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
  • Lead technical discussions related to Smart on FHIR, RESTful APIs, healthcare data exchange, system integrations, and interoperability using standards such as FHIR and HL7.
  • Apply deep expertise in API-driven, service-based architectures to support embedded workflows, system extensibility, and scalable integration patterns.
  • Explain and validate integration approaches involving structured and unstructured healthcare data, including data normalization, transformation, and downstream data usage.
  • Articulate how AI models are incorporated into MCG solutions, including data inputs, outputs, governance considerations, and workflow integration.
  • Coordinate, lead and manage technical due diligence activities, including security questionnaires, vendor risk assessments, technical RFP and RFI responses, and penetration testing inquiries.
  • Discuss authentication, authorization, identity management, and secure data exchange patterns, including OAuth2, SSO, and role-based access controls.
  • Design and present technical solution architectures, system diagrams, data flow diagrams, integration specifications, and deployment models aligned to customer environments.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, SEAD, Security, and Implementation teams to validate technical feasibility, assumptions, constraints, and solution scope.
  • Clearly communicate technical capabilities, limitations, dependencies, and trade-offs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in defining implementation approaches, integration timelines, and technical prerequisites to support effective post-sale handoff.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue Operations to develop and maintain technical collateral, reference architectures, and technical enablement materials.
  • Identify technical risks early in the sales cycle, including data quality, integration complexity, interoperability limitations, security posture, or deployment constraints, and recommend mitigation strategies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least five years of consultative experience guiding large healthcare customers through complex technical integrations, architecture design, AI-enabled solutions, and workflow integration.
  • Experience responding to detailed security, privacy, and compliance questions from enterprise customers.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development concepts, API-driven integrations, service-based architectures, and embedded application workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7, and supporting Smart on FHIR–based integrations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills and exceptional client-facing communication abilities.
  • Travel up to 25% to client sites and MCG-sponsored events.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations/Permits:

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., cloud, security, interoperability, or integration technologies) are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
