Brooklyn, NY

Healthcare Data Automation & QA Analytics Intern

About MedElite

At MedElite, we are redefining healthcare delivery by blending top-tier clinical support with data-driven insights. We are looking for a brilliant, technically savvy, and creatively minded Data Automation & QA Analytics Intern to join our team.

If you love connecting the dots between messy data pipelines, automating the mundane, and building reports that actually look good and make sense, this role is for you.

Position Details

  • Compensation: $25.00 / hour
  • Location: In-person, 5 days a week (On-site in Brooklyn, NY)
  • Eligibility: Open to both Undergraduate and Masters interns (currently enrolled)
  • Reporting to: Head of Product and AI Strategy

Position Overview

This isn’t your typical "run spreadsheet macros" internship. We need someone who is both quantitative and creative. You will sit at the intersection of data engineering and business logic—gathering user requirements from our team and translating them into slick, fully automated reporting pipelines. Your primary mission will be to link multiple data sources together, automate Quality Assurance (QA) data reports, and turn complex data into clean, automated PDFs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automate Reporting: Design and build automated pipelines that extract data from multiple sources and compile them into clean, executive-ready PDF reports.
  • QA & Compliance Data: Streamline and automate quality assurance data reports to ensure our clinical and operational standards remain flawless.
  • Healthcare Analytics: Help build and maintain specialty quality reporting for patients, manage facility data, and support TD facility assessments.
  • Performance Scorecards: Own the data-driven backend components of internal provider and clinician performance evaluations, helping us build scorecards that track and measure operational success.
  • Eliminate Manual Work: Use Python to identify slow, manual data tasks across the team and script them out of existence.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs, translating their business requirements into technical automation and results.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or MBA degree with a focus on Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Data Wrangling: Strong proficiency with SQL and/or Google BigQuery is a must. You should know how to join complex, disparate datasets seamlessly.
  • Scripting & Automation: Solid hands-on experience with Python (especially for data manipulation and generating PDF/document outputs).
  • API & Data Integration: Familiarity with how to use Data APIs or a strong willingness to learn. You should feel comfortable navigating comprehensive public datasets and schemas.
  • The "Data Mindset": Deeply analytical, but with a creative twist. You don't just pull data; you think about how it will be consumed and used to make decisions.
  • Communication: Ability to talk to non-technical team members, understand their pain points, and deliver automation that solves their problems.

What's In It For You

  • Real-world ownership of projects that directly impact patient care and facility efficiency.
  • Mentorship from experienced data and healthcare professionals.
  • A fast-paced, collaborative environment where your ideas turn into production-level tools.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
