Senior Director, Creative Product Strategy
We're seeking an experienced strategic leader to guide a major digital ecosystem transformation. This is a high-impact, director-level engagement requiring both strategic vision and hands-on leadership.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership (60%)
- Define the comprehensive digital experience strategy and transformation roadmap
- Establish governance frameworks, decision-making processes, and success metrics
- Lead stakeholder alignment across multiple client departments
- Develop audience segmentation models and user journey maps for key personas
Execution & Delivery (40%)
- Facilitate cross-departmental workshops and discovery sessions
- Review comprehensive audit analyses from team members and help synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
- Advise technology team in selection and implementation planning for unified technology stack
- Create measurement frameworks linking digital initiatives to institutional goals
- Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years in digital strategy, preferably including higher education, mission-driven organizations or media
- Proven track record leading enterprise-scale digital transformations involving multiple platforms and stakeholders
- Experience establishing governance models and gaining cross-departmental alignment
- Background in content strategy, information architecture, and CMS selection/implementation
- Demonstrated success moving organizations forward in digital maturity
Strategic Capabilities
- Ability to synthesize complex technical, organizational, and user needs into clear strategic direction
- Strong framework development skills (governance, measurement, decision-making)
- Experience with audience segmentation, journey mapping, and conversion optimization
Leadership & Communication
- Exceptional facilitation skills with ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders
- Clear, persuasive communicator comfortable presenting to executive audiences
- Skilled at coaching internal teams and building strategic capabilities within organizations
- Experience translating between technical and non-technical audiences
Engagement Details
Timeline: Initial 6-month engagement with potential for ongoing advisory role
Level of Effort: Approximately 20-30 hours/week during active phases

The target range of base compensation for this role is $6,000 - $12,000 a month. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
