Job Overview

At Mejuri, you will conceptualize, execute, and drive your category's merchandising strategy, delivering on key business revenue objectives. Your category strategies will deepen engagement with our loyal customers while expanding our reach to new audiences. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll leverage customer insights, market data, and performance analysis to introduce innovative, best-in-class products.

You'll possess a deep understanding of your business, proactively driving performance and meticulously monitoring category health to ensure your assortment achieves commercial viability and profitable growth. With a growth mindset and solutions-oriented approach, you'll bring a discerning eye and a passionate appreciation for beautifully crafted products

What you'll do

  • Partnering with the Director, you will conceptualize and execute the strategic development of global product assortments for your owned categories, reinforcing Mejuri's leadership in the jewelry industry through thoughtful consideration of channel-specific and geographical nuances.
  • Partner closely with Design and Product Development to bring innovative products to market, ensuring they elevate aesthetics, meet margin objectives, and surpass customer expectations. 
  • Collaborate strategically with Integrated Marketing and Visual Merchandising to create and execute customer-centric go-to-market plans that drive success.
  • Partner with Merchandise Planning to negotiate seasonal investment strategies by market and channel, ensuring key initiatives and high-volume styles are effectively funded to maximize sales and meet inventory turn goals. 
  • Develop pricing strategies for new product launches and refine existing assortment pricing based on market analysis. 
  • Deliver insights from weekly sales reporting at the channel and country level, collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand performance drivers and recommend actions for sales growth. 
  • Manage product attributes, pricing and SKU creation.
  • Act as the product authority, providing cross-functional teams with expert product insights and maintaining a strong grasp of the competitive market.

- YoY growth in categories owned by the merchant 
- Sell-through in new product launches / inventory tun
- Category level productivity
- Market share Sales performance vs. forecast for assigned categories

What you'll bring to the team

  • 3-5 years of merchandising experience in a fast-paced retail or e-commerce environment, preferably in the jewelry, fashion, or luxury industry.
  • Proven track record of assortment strategy development that drives revenue growth and aligns with brand positioning.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Design, Product Development, Planning, Marketing) to bring products to market successfully.
  • Proficiency in retail financial metrics, including margin optimization, sell-through rates, inventory turn, and demand planning.
  • Experience in pricing strategy development, including competitive analysis and margin management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with merchandising or planning systems (e.g., ERP, PLM, or BI tools).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Passion for the fashion/jewelry industry and obsessed with product
  • Personally driven with a strong sense of urgency

Location & Hybrid Work [Toronto, Ontario]

At Mejuri we embrace a hybrid working environment and support our corporate employees to be successful whether they are at home or in the office. The primary purpose of our offices is to drive collaboration and deepen relationships with one another.
This position requires in office work 3 days a week and remote work 2 days a week
Our office is location on Bay/Bloor, Toronto.
