Job Overview
The Senior Manager IT is a key member of ourTechnology team, reporting directly to the CTO and managing one direct report. You’ll oversee IT infrastructure across offices, stores, and fulfillment centers while driving vendor management, security, and compliance initiatives. Acting as both a strategic partner and hands-on operator, you’ll ensure reliable IT performance, support cross-functional teams, and champion organizational security. This is a high-visibility role with impact across the business, balancing day-to-day stability with long-term scalability.
What you'll do:
IT Operations & Team Leadership

Oversee and facilitate installation and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, and software, including servers, desktops, laptops, and communication systems.

Ensure all IT systems remain in working order through proactive monitoring and rapid response to issues.

Facilitate technical support and helpdesk functions, both in-office and remotely, by troubleshooting software, hardware, and access issues.

Set up and maintain workstations for all new employees, including equipment moves and physical setup of devices.

Manage day-to-day network functions such as Ethernet/Wi-Fi troubleshooting, user maintenance, email administration, and system backups.

Develop and maintain IT documentation, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
Infrastructure & Vendor Management

Oversee IT infrastructure across offices, stores, and fulfillment centers.

Manage vendor relationships for stores, network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and specialized IT services.
Security & Compliance

Partner with legal, engineering, consultants, and other internal teams in successfully launching and managing employee and information security initiatives.

Champion IT security across the organization, including SSO rollout for SaaS applications, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and access control policies.

Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures that reduce organizational risk.
Support & Enablement

Serve as an escalation point for IT issues, ensuring quick resolution and stakeholder satisfaction.

Provide IT expertise and support for cross-departmental initiatives.

Lead software asset management, license optimization, and cost savings.

Prepare and deliver regular reporting on IT performance, risks, and opportunities.

What you'll bring:

Experience: proven track record (5+ years) in IT operations, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role.

Leadership: strong people leader with experience hiring, developing, and managing teams.

Technical Skills: hands-on expertise with SSO platforms (e.g., Okta), MDM solutions, endpoint security, and SaaS management.

Security Mindset: familiarity with IT security frameworks, compliance practices, and risk management.

Business Acumen: experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.

Problem-Solving: solutions-focused mindset with a history of introducing lasting, cost-effective IT solutions.

Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and external vendors.

This position requires in office work 3 days a week and remote work 2 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Bloor Street W, Toronto.
