Vocational Project Coordinator - Resource Center Shopette

Position Summary: 

Vocational Project Coordinators administer, monitor, and report out on assigned special project within the Rehabilitative Services Department. They are responsible for day-to-day operations of WellPower’s rehabilitative program, as well as overseeing employees performing job tasks under this program. 

Team Specific Information:

The Resource Center Shopette provides essential clothing, hygiene, household, and other items to community members. This role supports daily Shopette and Vocational Training operations by coordinating staffing and trainee coverage; scheduling shifts; managing inventory, eligibility verification, check-in/out, and data entry; and engaging with people served. 

Compensation & Benefits:

The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications. 

Job Duties & Functions: 

  • ​Develop workflow, channels of communication, and procedures for the program. 
  • ​Assist with the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs of the team. Ensure compliance of established budget. 
  • ​Complete comprehensive vocational assessments, utilizing aptitude, interest and other assessment tools. 
  • ​Coordinate with other rehabilitative services, staff, and support, as well as with primary treatment clinicians. 
  • ​Coordinate care between the rehabilitation department and the clinical teams. 
  • ​Develop individualized training plans for clients in the vocational/rehabilitation program. 
  • ​Coordination of client’s activities at assigned workstations/sites at WellPower. 
  • ​Monitor client progress and activities with clients, documenting services provided. 
  • ​Complete timely and accurate data, reports and clinical documentation as required. 
  • ​Participate in pre-vocational partial care services. 
  • ​Conduct rehabilitative and goal-oriented educational opportunities. 
  • ​Plan and facilitate social activities within the community and with the program. 
  • ​Promote the philosophy of recovery, wellness, and community integration through a strengths based, person-centered approach. 
  • ​Supervise, coach, and support peer specialists, mentors, and vocational trainees. 
  • ​Participate in hiring processes, on-boarding, and performance management, including disciplinary procedures when necessary. 
  • ​Develop and maintain community/vendor relationships. 
  • ​Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 
  • ​Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of three years of vocational experience or 
  • Masters in related field 

Experience: 

  • ​​Minimum three years of experience working with severe and persistent mental illness​. 

Credentials/Certification: 

  • ​​​Certified Psychiatrics Rehabilitation Practitioner preferred.  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.​​ 

Work Location: This is an on site position at WellPowers Resource Center - 1075 Galapago St, Denver

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm

Physical Requirements: 

Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
