In this role, you’ll play a key part in both our legal function and the broader company—supporting day-to-day operations while helping us scale responsibly. You’ll partner closely with our Head of Legal and cross-functional leaders to navigate the rapidly evolving crypto regulatory landscape, ensuring Mesh stays compliant, secure, and positioned for global expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support Mesh’s compliance with key U.S. and global crypto and financial regulations, partnering with the Head of Legal and CCO on all regulatory matters.

  • Draft and review contracts with partners, employees, and contractors.
  • Assist with IP matters, including reviewing patent, trademark, and copyright filings.
  • Help safeguard Mesh’s proprietary technology–especially blockchain- and crypto-related IP.
  • Provide general legal support across departments such as Sales, Product, Compliance, HR, and Finance.
  • Respond to legal inquiries and offer practical guidance on routine issues.
Contribute to the development, revision, and rollout of company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Stay current on trends in crypto law, financial regulation, privacy, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing from a U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 2–3 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or in-house legal team, preferably in the fintech, payments, or crypto space.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology, crypto assets, and the legal and regulatory complexities of the industry.
  • Familiarity with cross-border legal frameworks, including MiCA, ESMA/EBA guidance, MTL requirements, BSA rules, OCC/OFAC regulations, AML/KYB/CFT practices, and global privacy laws.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong internal relationships.
  • Skilled contract drafter and negotiator with strong attention to detail.
  • Ownership mindset and ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical abilities, and sound judgment–especially under pressure or on tight deadlines.
  • Deep commitment to integrity, security, ethics, and fostering a culture of compliance.
