The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounts Payable Manager to lead and manage our Accounts Payable team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our large, fast-growing company. The successful candidate will oversee high-volume domestic and international payment operations for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities
- Lead a large and diverse AP team, including hybrid and remote employees, while fostering a relaxed and collaborative culture. Build and develop a high-performing team.
- Act as a proactive problem-solver and hands-on leader, stepping in to address challenges and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee vendor setup and maintenance processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the invoice entry and payment issuance processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Oversee AP-related month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Ensure accurate preparation and filing of 1099 forms.
- Manage travel and administrative expense processing and policy compliance.
- Drive system improvements and support the implementation of new AP tools to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement AP policies and procedures to streamline operations in a hyper-growth environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable leadership role, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced organization preferred.
- Exceptional Excel skills, including advanced functions such as XLOOKUPs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in team building and fostering a positive, adaptable work culture.
- Experience leading large and diverse teams, including hybrid and remote employees.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, including invoice entry, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP implementation and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems

The anticipated base salary for this position is $65000.00 to $75,000.00 annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
