Senior Frontend (React) Engineer

Our Senior Frontend Engineers are heavily involved in the product development life cycle, from gathering requirements to running systems in production. They work closely with other engineers, designers, and QA, ensuring that the right decisions lead to high business impact. They design and build high-quality identity verification solutions for web applications using React. Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Frontend Engineer ready to build new things on our AI-powered product, the Microblink Platform. 

The Microblink Platform is an orchestration engine that combines multiple fraud-fighting solutions into a single journey that our customers use to prevent identity fraud and identify their users. The product includes a no-code UI, a comprehensive API and SDKs for Web, iOS and Android.

Our teams in the US and Europe with main offices in New York and Zagreb, touch hundreds of millions of people every year, processing over 800M identity documents in more than 70 countries around the world.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Build web applications on modern principles, using a microservice architecture, on dockerized and serverless environments
• Build web libraries and kits for our users to integrate their products with
• Maintain existing React-based applications
• Take initiative, participate in the entire product life cycle, make an impact and take ownership while you grow
• Mentor less experienced colleagues, onboard and support new ones and share best practices and knowledge with the team
• Help teams make data-driven sound decisions regarding frontend technologies, patterns, standards and architecture

You'll be successful in this role if you

• Have 5+ years of experience building web applications running in production using React
• Are passionate about working with React Hooks and building reusable components
• Have strong knowledge and experience working with
  • Typescript/ECMAScript
  • CSS with SASS or LESS
  • RESTful APIs and systems integration
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
• Have experience with designing systems and component libraries as well as working closely with design teams
• Have an essential software development skillset (“it goes without saying” type of skills): OOP, git, team collaboration skills and tools, and good English language skills.
• Are responsible, proactive and driven by organizational and team success

A plus is if you also have experience with

• UI component frameworks
• SVG
• WebAssembly
• Working with Storybook and Figma
• Writing unit and component tests
• Working in fintech and e-commerce, developing identity verification and fraud prevention solutions at scale
