About the Role:

We are looking for a vigilant and professional Security Guard to protect our warehouse facility at MDB Co. This position is a full-time direct-hire position with full benefits 100% paid for by the company. The perfect person for the role should have a positive attitude, be reliable, take initiative, and like being part of a team. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets by monitoring the premises, controlling access, and responding to security incidents. This role involves both indoor and outdoor patrol, as you will walk the facility, monitor surveillance systems, check identification, and document all security-related activities. You may work various shifts including days, evenings, or overnights, and will partner with management and local law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of our operations. 

 What you'll be doing (including but not limited to): 

  • Monitor and patrol warehouse facility and grounds on foot or by vehicle 
  • Control access to facility by verifying employee and visitor identification 
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and personnel to prevent theft or unauthorized materials 
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents in a timely and professional manner 
  • Document all security activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs 
  • Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and suspicious activities to management 
  • Conduct opening and closing procedures for facility including securing doors, gates, and equipment 
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems 
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations 
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary 
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel 
  • Maintain supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations 
  • Complete any other duties and projects that may be assigned 
  • Follow all security protocols and warehouse safety rules 

Expected hours for the role: 

  • Various shifts available (day, swing, overnight) 
  • May include weekends and holidays 
  • Flexibility required 

What you bring to the table: 

  • Valid California Security Guard license (BSIS Guard Card) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire 
  • Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record 
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 1+ year of security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred 
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail 
  • Be a team player and reliable 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure 
  • Basic computer skills for logging and reporting 
  • Flexible with change, may be rotating shifts or assigned to different areas of the facility 
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner 
  • Proficient reading and writing skills 
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening 

 

 
 

California pay range

$20 - $22 USD
