Senior Director, Commercial Operations and Business Intelligence

MindMed is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director/Executive Director of Commercial Operations and Business Intelligence to serve as a critical leader within our commercial organization. This is a newly created role and reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The successful candidate will oversee business intelligence, forecasting, sales operations, pricing, government reporting, gross-to-net calculations, incentive compensation, CRM systems, and fleet management. This role is pivotal in building and scaling MindMed’s commercial infrastructure, driving data-driven decision-making, and ensuring operational excellence as we prepare for market entry and growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and manage enterprise-scale data lakes (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) to consolidate structured and unstructured data 
  • Lead advanced analytics and predictive modeling to deliver insights on market trends, customer behavior, demand forecasting, and operational performance 
  • Develop a robust business intelligence framework for sales projections, market modeling, and strategic decision-making 
  • Translate complex strategic questions into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives for executive stakeholders 
  • Lead demand forecasting, market modeling, and sales projections to guide commercial strategy and resource allocation 
  • Build and oversee scalable commercial processes, including CRM implementation and optimization (Salesforce), sales force deployment mapping, and fleet operations 
  • Design and execute incentive compensation programs aligned with commercial goals to motivate sales teams. 
  • Lead pricing strategies, competitive pricing analyses, gross-to-net forecasting, and reconciliation processes, ensuring alignment with financial and reimbursement objectives 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements, including transparency laws, pricing regulations, and other mandates 
  • Partner with the CCO and cross-functional leaders to shape commercial strategy, drive       operational excellence, and support MindMed’s growth objectives 
  • Collaborate with market access teams to optimize reimbursement and payer compliance 
  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations and analytics team as the organization scales 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech commercial operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Deep expertise in business intelligence, forecasting, pricing, gross-to-net calculations, and government reporting within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience with Salesforce administration, CRM systems, and incentive compensation design
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations, including market access, pricing strategies, and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of leveraging data to drive business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in a small or startup environment is a plus, with a demonstrated ability to build processes and systems from the ground up
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to balance long-term vision with tactical execution 

The starting base pay range for this position is $197,163.00 - $259,468.00. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.
