Senior Director, Data Analytics and Operations

MindMed is seeking an accomplished Senior/Executive Director of Data Analytics & Operations to lead our data-driven strategy and operational excellence initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this pivotal role will harness advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and operational insights to drive MindMed’s commercial success and strategic growth. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in building data lakes, directing sophisticated analytics, optimizing sales force deployment, and designing incentive compensation models. You will translate complex strategic challenges into impactful, actionable insights that empower leadership to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-scale data lakes to consolidate and leverage structured and unstructured data
- Direct advanced and predictive analytics programs, delivering insights on market trends, customer behavior, and operational performance
- Lead the development of sales force deployment mapping strategies to optimize territory alignment and resource utilization
- Design and execute incentive compensation frameworks that align with commercial goals and drive team performance
- Partner with the CCO and senior leadership to translate high-level strategic questions into data-driven solutions and compelling narratives
- Build and mentor a high-performing internal/external analytics and operations team to support MindMed’s scaling efforts
- Ensure robust data governance, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, clinical, and operational teams to align data initiatives with organizational priorities
- Drive innovation by integrating cutting-edge tools and methodologies to enhance MindMed’s analytical and operational capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Operations, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, operations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven expertise in building and managing data lakes using platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and predictive modeling techniques
- Extensive experience in sales force deployment mapping and incentive compensation design, ideally within biotech, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry
- Exceptional ability to distill complex data and strategic questions into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams around data-driven strategies
- Experience in biotech, healthcare, or commercial operations (e.g., clinical trials, market access, or sales analytics) is highly desirable
The starting base pay range for this position is $197,163.00 - $259,468.00. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.
