About the Role

As the Director of Events at Mindvalley, you will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and innovation of world-class, transformational events that align with Mindvalley’s mission to revolutionize education and personal growth. This role is at the heart of creating immersive, memorable experiences that inspire, connect, and engage global audiences, both online and offline. You will be responsible for crafting a seamless blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and cutting-edge creativity to deliver events that embody Mindvalley’s values and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with Mindvalley’s business goals, brand identity, and vision for personal growth.
    • Lead the conceptualization and design of both live and virtual event experiences, ensuring they are innovative, engaging, and transformative.
    • Analyze trends in the events industry and integrate emerging technologies to enhance attendee experiences.
  2. Revenue Generation and Business Growth:
    • Drive ticket sales, sponsorships, and partnerships to ensure events are not only impactful but also financially successful.
    • Oversee the P&L of the Events business unit, maintaining accountability for revenue generation and cost management.
  3. Collaboration Across Business Units:
    • Partner with internal teams such as marketing, content, and partnerships to align event strategies with overall organizational goals.
    • Support other business units by providing event solutions that amplify their objectives, including B2B and B2C initiatives.
  4. Event Planning and Execution:
    • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all Mindvalley events, including signature live festivals (e.g., A-Fest), virtual summits, workshops, and community gatherings.
    • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure smooth delivery of events that exceed audience expectations.
    • Ensure operational excellence, including venue selection, logistics, program schedules, vendor partnerships, and contingency planning.
  5. Team and Vendor Management:
    • Lead and inspire a high-performing events team, providing mentorship, guidance, and clear accountability.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, content, and partnerships, to align event strategies with broader organizational goals.
    • Cultivate relationships with external vendors, speakers, performers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  6. Audience Engagement and Experience:
    • Design events that foster meaningful connections among attendees, creating vibrant, participatory experiences.
    • Incorporate storytelling, cutting-edge content, and experiential elements that leave a lasting impact on attendees.
    • Utilize attendee feedback and data to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of events.
  7. Brand Representation:
    • Act as a key ambassador of the Mindvalley brand, ensuring that events reflect the organization’s mission to empower individuals to achieve their highest potential.
    • Align event messaging and aesthetics with Mindvalley’s branding and voice.
  8. Measurement and Optimization:
    • Establish metrics and KPIs to assess event success, including attendee satisfaction, engagement, ROI, and brand impact.
    • Leverage data analytics and insights to refine future events and optimize performance.
    • Ensure all events comply with legal, safety, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event leadership, including large-scale international events, festivals, and virtual experiences.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong creative vision and ability to translate ideas into actionable plans and extraordinary experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A passion for personal growth, education, and creating transformative experiences.
  • Familiarity with digital event platforms, tools, and emerging trends in the events industry.
  • Ability to travel globally for live event execution and planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in experiential marketing, event innovation, or community engagement.
  • A strong understanding of the Mindvalley brand, culture, and mission.
  • Background in the wellness, education, or tech industries is a plus.
