Senior Director, Talent Acquisition

Reporting to the SVP, People, the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that attracts world-class scientific, clinical, and business talent to support the company’s growth.  The preferred location for this position is the Philadelphia, PA region.

 

This individual will lead the end-to-end recruitment function, overseeing talent branding, sourcing, candidate experience, recruitment operations, and partnership with hiring leaders, while ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, culture, and values. The Senior Director, TA plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-performance workforce that drives innovation within and across the team.

Responsibilities 

Talent Brand, Candidate Experience, and Recruiting Capability

  • Deliver strategic insights on talent acquisition best practices, market intelligence, and workforce trends.
  • Drive branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice within the biotech and life sciences communities.
  • Own the full lifecycle recruitment process, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Enhance and evolve recruiting capability and hiring excellence across the organization through training, toolkits, and partnership with hiring managers.

Operational Leadership

  • Establish scalable talent acquisition infrastructure to support frictionless hiring while ensuring strong focus on quality of hire, culture fit, and diversity.
  • Implement and manage recruiting systems, analytics, and tools (e.g., Greenhouse) to track key metrics and optimize workflow.
  • Lead workforce planning including forecasting hiring needs, identifying critical roles and skillsets, and defining talent profiles.
  • Communicate hiring progress, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership through regular updates and dashboards.
  • Manage external partnerships with search firms, agencies, and talent platforms to expand reach and efficiency.

Educational & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background recruiting in biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries required.
  • Proven experience scaling talent acquisition functions during periods of rapid growth or transformation.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting for specialized and technical roles (development, regulatory, clinical, and commercial).

Supervisory Responsibility

Responsible for supervision and management of Talent Acquisition team

Travel

Up to 15% domestic travel, Valid US driver’s license required, ability to travel without restrictions.

This position is eligible for standard Company benefits including medical, dental, vision, time off and 401K, as well as participating in Mineralys incentive plans are contingent on achievement of personal and company performance. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.

US Salary Range:  $220,000 - 250,000
