Mineralys is a fully remote company.
Reporting to the SVP, People, the Vice President, People Operations serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing HR infrastructure across the organization. The Vice President, People Operations will oversee HR systems, total rewards, data analytics and HR Operations staff to support a rapidly scaling workforce. The preferred location for this position is the Philadelphia, PA region.
Principal Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Strategy
- Architect and lead an HR Operations model.
- Design scalable processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Drive transformation initiatives to modernize HR technology, streamline processes, and enhance the employee experience.
- Manage HR programs and systems, including compensation, payroll, and benefits, ensuring competitiveness within the biotech and life sciences markets.
HR Technology & People Data
- Own HR Technology Roadmap.
- Ensure data integrity and stewardship as well as robust people analytics.
- Develop HR metrics and reporting that deliver actionable insights to leadership on talent trends, turnover, compensation, and engagement.
Employee Experience & Service Delivery
- Create a frictionless, human-centered service model that anticipates needs and delivers clarity and care.
- Ensure adherence to FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, GxP, and other relevant regulatory requirements impacting HR practices.
- Maintain company compliance with employment laws across multi-state and international jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure audit readiness and risk mitigation in HR processes.

Supervisory Responsibility
Responsible for supervision and management of full HR Operations team.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in HR operations within biotech, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
- Proven success in scaling HR systems and processes to support organizational growth through clinical development and commercialization stages.
- Strong experience with HRIS and data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance frameworks related to biotech operations and regulated environments.
Travel
This position requires up to 15% travel. Travel will generally be domestic but may be outside the local area and overnight.
This position is eligible for standard Company benefits including medical, dental, vision, time off and 401K, as well as participating in Mineralys incentive plans are contingent on achievement of personal and company performance. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
US Salary Range: $250,000 - $280,000
